I haven't had a blood test yet to see if it helped reduce my cholesterol and I don't think one bottle will do that so a purchase is coming up when I run out. The only reason I give 4 stars is the smell when you open the bottle, very strong, other than that, this product is great!

My biggest complaint about fish oil is that generally within an hour of taking, I'm burping fishy. In this case, I took the first one with my dinner as soon as I opened the package and it was fine. Thinking that taking it late int he day with food, rather than in the morning with breakfast and other vitamins might be the trick, I kept doing that. But on the 3rd day, I woke up in the middle of the night with heartburn and that fishy taste. I waited a couple days and then tried taking in the morning - that didn't work either - by the time I arrived at work I was already burping fish. Granted, this was a lot lighter than most, but for me, just doesn't do what I need.

I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that you do not have that terrible fishy burp aftertaste thought out the day as you do if you take fish oil supplements. Flax seed oil can even cause flax seed tasting burps, but that is tolerable. These softgels cause zero burping, and zero aftertaste throughout the day. I would recommend them to anyone who needs amino acids in their diet.
