Couldn't ask for a better product or company. The pergola arrived in a couple of days, communication was great, super easy to assemble with clear instructions and everything fit together as expected. And of course, it's absolutely beautiful. Have had it a few months in intense Chicago weather and so far so good.

Looks absolutely amazing on our patio! Assembly with BILT app was remarkably simple, but of course time consuming (put together by 3 people over the course of 2 days). No missing parts, everything fit together perfectly, no misaligned holes or stripped screws. Arrives in 4 long boxes (approximately 150-200 pounds each), very manageable for 2 people. So far, we are very satisfied with this purchase and very hopeful it will stand the test of time. Satin black finish looks great and seems durable, and this provides more shade than expected. Love the included power strip as well, nice touch. Overall, this pergola exceeded our expectations and we couldn't be more pleased.

Me and a friend put my pergola up yesterday. Ages 52 and 65 in decent shape but by no means athletic. We were a little apprehensive in tackling this project on our own when looking at the gazililon pieces. The directions were extremely clear - highly unusual. We didn't make a single mistake! It is stunning. The only complaint is that the shade cloth is 2-3 feet short? I don't get it. I read other reviews and I am glad that someone warned us about being careful not to drop the screws inside the cross beams because it would have been a total pain to get them out. I suggest adding a note about this into the directions. Surprisingly we didn't drop any in there. It is super sturdy too. Very high quality.

I purchased two of the 12x10 Pergola's. Both were packaged, and shipped very carefully, arrived in perfect condition. Very heavy structure (about 500 lbs), high quality, aesthetically pleasing, and took 4 hours to put together. Perfect for the AZ heat. Highly recommend buying. I plan to add outdoor curtains to make it look like a cabana. I love it!

Just finished erecting a Hawthorne, 14 x 10 pergola. I have nothing but good comments about this backyard treasure. The instructions provided were excellent, and the BLT app was exceptionally put together and very thorough. The quality of this product is exceptional. I would love to assist someone else in putting up another one as I enjoyed myself immensely.

I finally finished putting this together. It came out better than expected. The material is top quality and the directions were easy to follow. I also used the "Bilt" app which made it so much easier. I do recommend this product. In addition, customer service is top notch. One post was damaged by the delivery service. However, one call and they sent a replacement in a few days. Great product.

Very pleased with Backyard Discovery overall. Shipping, no damage found on any of my Stratford 10 × 12 pergola, no missing parts, etc. Beautiful addition to my new Trex deck, Hot Springs Spa arriving this week to be placed under pergola. Very Impressed with quality of this pergola!

. design is so pretty and I am excited about the fact it will never rust, warp or change color): We just purchased this product and it far exceeds my expectation! I was nervous about going with metal versus wood, but the quality of the product is so much better than other steel pergolas I've seen that are made of aluminum or vinyl products. This product is 100% galvanized steel and is solid. Because it is made from high-quality galvanized steel I also don't have to worry about it ever rusting, warping, or fading. The fact that I will never have to seal or stain this pergola is a huge plus for me! This pergola also comes with a power port, which is so convenient since we plan to have a bar under it. I can mix up fun drinks with my blender and have my music going! There are both USB and electrical outlets. The traditional design of the pergola is perfect and all of the joints are hidden so there is no hardware sticking out! The assembly was very easy for my husband following the directions provided in the BILT app. If I could give this product more than 5 stars I would! Great purchase. Straightforward to put together; however would recommend having 2 people to assemble all the beams and then 4-5 people to hold/bolt together the frame. After that step, the rest goes pretty quickly (even faster with 2 people and 2 ladders). Still looks great after nearly a year of use. Highly recommend.

We bought this pergola for our lower level patio last summer. We wanted something to match our new home, and considered getting a cedar pergola since we have cedar trim on the ground level porch that sits above it. We decided on this one because it will be much less maintenance than cedar, and is still a great match to the house. We love it. My husband and I assembled it ourselves. If I am being 100% honest, the instructions were not great. Part of my job was writing instructions, and I would have added a lot more helpful detail that would avoid mistakes and backtracking. Regardless, we still love the pergola.
