Love it. Everything a Whoop does for cheaper.

Love it. I've gone through a graveyard of smartwatches and fitness bands over the years, and the thing that always killed it for me was the screen: the notifications, the glowing rectangle begging for attention, the battery that died every other day. The Fitbit Air fixed all of that, and I'm kind of obsessed. The screenless design sounded gimmicky at first, but it's the whole point. There's nothing buzzing at me, nothing to swipe, nothing to charge constantly. It just quietly does its job in the background while I get on with my life. It's so light I genuinely forget it's on. I've slept in it every night for weeks without it bothering me once. (Full honesty: it took me about two days to get used to the feel against my skin, and then I stopped noticing it entirely.) The battery is unreal. I get about a week per charge, and when it does run low, five minutes on the cable gets me through a full day. After years of nightly charging, this still feels like a small miracle. But the part that's actually changed my habits is the coaching. The Gemini-powered insights in the Google Health app don't just dump numbers on me. After a rough night or a hard workout, it nudges me toward recovery and an earlier wind-down, and the suggestions genuinely make sense for my day. The sleep tracking and readiness score have made me way more intentional about rest. I also love that I can swap bands in seconds depending on whether I'm working, sweating, or sleeping. And it works perfectly with my iPhone, which I wasn't sure about going in. For a hundred bucks, this thing punches so far above its price it's almost unfair to the competition. If you've been eyeing Whoop but balking at the subscription, do yourself a favor and try this first.

Ok, but I'll rely on my Garmin

Lightweight on arm, but rubbed the inside of my wrist slightly raw before I returned it. Google Health AI is ok. But just asking it simple health questions or suggestions forced it to not give me an answer because of “community guidelines.” Even the question of how much juice mixed with how much sparkling water for a decent flavor/concentrate was blocked. Wasn't worth keeping so I returned it.

Somewhat disappointed.

My wife has worn a Fitbit for many years. I saw an article about this one, and thought it might be worth a try. I am disappointed in the lack of consistency in readings, especially regarding steps. I walk the golf course using a non-remote walking cart. If my hand is on the cart, no steps are recorded. My Apple phone records roughly 2;000 more steps in a round of golf. Sleep data seems fine. Workout (cardio) data is simply not understandable. AI generated coaching is ok but I wouldn't pay for it. I like the heart rate monitoring but consistency is not there (occasional spikes while not doing anything other than walking the golf course). All in all not what I expected.

Hey there, Littlecreek. We’re sorry to hear that you're having trouble with consistent tracking on the Fitbit Air. To help improve your tracking, make sure your height is set correctly in the app, as the device uses this to estimate your stride length. If your stride is longer or shorter than average, you may want to manually adjust those settings. Additionally, wearing the device snugly on your wrist can help improve consistency. If you're still seeing issues, we’d be happy to look into this further with you: https://support.google.com/googlehealth/gethelp

It's ok! The Fitbit air stopped tracking my steps and sleep and wouldn't connect to my google account without swiping down to reconnect. the software is buggy and the google health app needs improvement

It seemed like a good device in theory, but it did not really supply the information that you really need having a screen is important but other things was that the band is horrible. It is not sturdy. The Velcro does not stick. Would not purchase this product in the future

Disappointing! The steps aren’t accurate. The software is a mess glitched. I’m familiar with Fitbit and Apple Watches. Hoped this would be perfect for gardening and my life style . All was update. Phone. The updates on new Fitbit air. Not only were there steps inaccurate, synching was a mess. Spent more time fooling with it. I read many reviews. It’s newly launched so maybe it’s just not for me.

I found the band very comfortable to wear. However, I did not feel that the information that I gleaned from wearing it was useful to me. I don’t feel that the information the app gave me was accurate or helpful. I would often wake up in the morning and the app would tell me to take it easy that day and this happened today after day after day. It never encouraged me to work out or push myself harder. Also, the calorie window it gave me was quite a bit more food than I normally ate and I struggled to eat that much without feeling sick and over full.

I'm really disappointed with the accuracy of this device. I've walked on my treadmill over an hour today, and the fitbit currently shows 1588 steps. I should be closer to 6000. I've tried wearing the device on my wrist and ankle and held it in my pocket with similar results.
