Sardine shortages across the globe

Shortages of your favorite sardines has nothing to do with Sam's Club stocking issue. There is a reason prices have soared and there is a scarcity for this healthy option. The shortage is the result of a sudden spike in popularity due to social media influencers and the colliding of severe environmental problems out at sea. For many on a fixed income , canned sardines were seen as a cheap, healthy pantry item. Recently as social media trends and a growing interest in high-protein, healthy foods turned canned sardines into a viral food craze. Now everyone wants them! Global warming is also causing warming waters and have disrupted the tiny plankton that sardines feed on, forcing fish populations to move into deeper, cooler waters or starve. Bad weather and high fuel costs have made fishing trips even harder to pull off, leaving processing plants without enough fish to package. At the same time, wildlife officials in the US (I hope this still the case) and other countries have stepped in to enforce strict fishing limits to protect wild stocks from being wiped out entirely. While these rules are critical for saving marine ecosystems in the long run, they mean suppliers cannot simply catch more fish to meet customer demand. Wild sardines rely heavily on stable ocean environments to rebuild their numbers hopefully everyone will do their part to protect our ocean environment.

the best deal for sardines and most importantly the HEALTHIEST! They definitely make me gag but totally worth it for the health benefits. PLEASE KEEP THE SKIN AND BONES DONT GO BONELESS. The bones and skin are very VERY nutritious which is very good for calcium.

If I could give this product a”10” I would. I have tried several brands and these are so far the best taste %26 price and all the other good stuff for your body 20 grams of protein EVOO” extra virgin olive oil “ 1700mg omega-3 and the shelf life although they want last that long I've been checking often on the website when they would be back in stock. Thank You Sam's

Best Sardines by Far

Pro: I love these sardines...Wild caught, EVOO, no added ingredients, %26 the taste is great! Con: For some, unexplained, reason, these aren't available in store or to order. NOT happy about that. I keep checking for them to be restocked but it's been a cpl of weeks %26 they still aren't available. We live 45 min from the nearest Sam's Club so we depend on being able to order or to do a monthly pickup of the items we need. Hopefully, this will be restocked soon.

Nutritious and Versatile

Looking for more ways to get omega3 in and really liked these v others! Love that they're in EVOO and never found any bones. They're versatile and taste great on avocado toast! Only downside is that I haven't had much luck being able to buy them and wish they were in stock more frequently.

Need to restock

These are great %26 don't understand why they don't stock them anymore! It's always the case with Sam's Club that once you like a product, they stop carrying them.

Actually out of stock

These are great sardines. It showed as being available for shipping for me so I decided I would order a few of these and browse the site to see what else I needed. Spent a good hour looking at everything only to discover upon checking out that they are out of stock. Even though there is no indication of that whatsoever. Remove it from the site if there are none in stock.
