It is a very lightweight fabric that will move with your child without twisting or pulling. It does not fade as I did a color test prior to washing the outfit. It came out of a medium heat drier looking exactly as it did when it went in. The weight of the sleeper is light enough to wear even when it's not cold outdoors and especially if you have a little one that kicks the cover off while sleeping.
