I was gifted this sweater. The size is true to size. It's the perfect weight. It is kinda a medium weight. It is made of a heavier material but doesn't feel heavy. Great for cold days. I am interested to see how she will do because it does have a tag at the neck, if the sweater is worn without layering.

At a size 10/12, it was originally meant for my 9 year old, but it fit my 15 year old so well that she stole it! this sweater is extremely well made, though it runs a little big. interesting enough, it fits both of my girls: loose on one, fitted on the other, cute on them both.
