I was apprehensive at first because I used to eat rice cakes and thought that my experience with these would be similar- dry flavorless cardboard. Boy was I wrong! The cheddar flavor was salty and sharp, very satisfying. Even my picky 6-year old daughter loved them.

I remember the rice cakes from the 80's. They tasted like you were eating Styrofoam. They have improved these beyond belief. They taste nothing like the rice cakes of the past. These are very light but have a great cheddar favor. The cheese has a good natural flavor. These actually remind me of cheese puffs. They taste like a snack and not something that you have to eat because you are on a diet. BRAVO!

You can snack on these while watching movies or helping with homework..they are even great for the car. I keep a bag of these on hand at all times for when the munchies hit so I have something I won't feel too guilty about afterwards. My family loves all the favors but this kind is by far my favorite.

They taste a lot like a cheddar & sour cream chip, but are so much healthier. If gluten is an issue for you, don't worry - gluten free! Hands down, a great snack. There's quite a bit in the bag, and the calorie count for this item is relatively low (something like 140 calories for 17 pieces!)
