[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Today, I hosted a Big Game party at my house and served a few bags of Quaker Popped rice crisps along with many other snacks. As the evening progressed, I noticed that no one had even opened the bags of Popped and almost everything else edible -wings, chips and dips, mini-sandwiches, et.al -were all but gone! I immediately opened the bags and got to pouring these delicious little gluten-free Cheddar and Sour Cream & Onion crunchies on everyone's plates. I explained how I'd received a few free bags to sample and review from #Quaker and #BzzAgent and had surprisingly LOVED THEM and said that everyone had to try them. As I stood waiting for people to begin sampling @Quaker Popped rice cakes and amongst all the "ughs" and uh-uhs", I began to hear satisfied crunching and munching! Finally, when both bags were emptied, I was inundated with how surprised everyone was by how good Quaker Popped really were. I love how nutritious they are, while my family loves the amazing taste. A bag of this snack does not last long in my home. I am so excited that I have finally found a snack that is healthy for my kids.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] BzzAgent sent me Quaker Popped Rice Crisps to try in return for sharing my opinion of them with you, and I am SO glad that they did, because my family and I LOVED them! Our favorite flavor by far was the Sour Cream and Onion. Our second best was the Cheddar Cheese. My husband said that the Sour Cream and Onion tasted like chips in that flavor, and my daughter thought the Cheddar Cheese flavor tasted like cheese curls. My husband and 9-year-old daughter ate them so quickly and loved them so much, they requested I buy them at the grocery store the next time I went. Which I gladly did, because I love them, too! We also were sent the Caramel Corn to try, but they didn't go over as well as the other flavors. I was the only one who sort-of liked that flavor, even though I would never buy the Caramel Corn flavor for myself. But trust me, the other flavors will knock your socks off! Give 'em a try and see if I'm right!

I've had the old fashioned flavored rice cakes before (aka flavored cardboard) These chips were not like that. They were thin, crispy and very nicely flavored. It was a great substitute for high fat potato chips or even tortilla chips. We all loved them.

They remind me of one of my other favorite puffed cheese snacks, only better (and much better for you!). They were without a doubt, a hit with the entire family. We loved munching on these as an after school or work snack and indulging in a few after dinner. The fact that they are gluten-free is just an awesome bonus! So grateful to have had the opportunity to try these yummy snacks and will definitely be buying more!

My children had just gotten home from school and so it was perfect timing! The size of the ships is perfect for little hands and the amount of cheese taste is just right. These are a great healthy snack for everyone.

The texture is very similar to a classic rice cake, but it's 'popped', almost as if air has been added. One bag is enough for 2 or more good snack bowls, or for one group bowl. The cheddar cheese has a good flavour and a good crunch. Initially if I'd written this right after eating, I would have given it a 5-4 star, however about 30min-1hour after, every member of the house was gargling water as if we'd been in a desert. The sodium content is way too high to be considered a healthy snack, and if you're going to spend that kind of sodium, I'd do it on a regular snack item, not a diet one. Sorry but this one's a bust for me and my family, although the dog and cat enjoyed one each.
