It is about 17 in and height soft but just enough support to keep your bones of your body in good condition and not waking up in pain. The bed stays cool while you're asleep and you don't get overly hot or a really cold just the right temperature. This honestly is one of the best beds I have ever owned. I get the best night's sleep on it I feel refreshed and rested when I wake up it is amazing. I would highly recommend the beautyrest line to anybody who is considering buying a new bed

I was apprehensive when it was delivered and I first laid on it because I was used to a 4” memory foam topper on my hybrid mattress. It felt very firm to me. First night I slightly elevated my head and knees with adjustable base and slept very well. No hip aches or shoulder pain. Very happy so far with this BeautyRest Black Series One!

Just got it but once broken in like the stores I assume this will be a great bed worth the price. Coming from a Beautyrest that was 12 years old and after finding the box spring and base to be the problem, the old bed will be repurposed for a family member to get a few more years out of. I fully expect the same or better quality from the BR Black medium.

It provides just enough softness on the surface with a consistent underlying firmness that supports a variety of sleeping positions (we are a back/side sleeper and a side/stomach sleeper). My back is less sore when I wake up in the mornings. Motion isolation is much better than our previous mattress.

It’s like a temperpedic style topper , that can contort to your body . This is great as you don’t disturb your partner when you move . Very comfortable and one of the best bed’s I’ve ever owned . We were in need of a mattress upgrade as we had purchased what we believed was a good quality mattress a few years ago and as you can see one of the sides is completely sunk in. This has been causing my husband all sorts of back problems so when we were selected to review this mattress, it was the perfect fit and the perfect timing! After testing the mattress for an extended period of time I have nothing but good things to report. We have been using it for about two months now and there are absolutely no signs of where. We spend a lot of time in the evenings, relaxing, and watching shows in bed so our daughter can sleep peacefully on the other side of the house. So the mattress gets a lot of use. The mattress is incredibly plush with just the right amount of firmness. The black color not only eliminates the fear of spills or staining, but it is also extremely visually appealing! Not only have my husband‘s back problems started to subside, but according to my smart watch I am getting radically better sleep quality. This is hands-down the best mattress I have ever owned and I 100% recommend this product!

It was stunning to look at but quickly was covered with a mattress protector and sheets, these will have to be purchased new as well as traditional mattress protectors and sheets will NOT fit! I anticipated this potentially happening by be prepared! The comfort level is spot on except my boyfriend is laying on top of me with no room to spare where before with my old queen (a beauty sleep knock off) I had plenty of room!

I feel completely supported but it is not too firm, I never wake up with back or neck pain anymore. I also never feel like I am overheating, I think this mattress does a good job regulating temperature.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I tell you this Beautyrest Mattress has saved me, I am not exaggerating! My husband and I share a bed, he talks and moves a lot in his sleep. I have gotten used to being woken up many times a night. I didn't realize how much being woken up every hour or so affected me until we switched to the Beautyrest series 3 Pillow top queen mattress. It has triple-stranded pocketed coil technology that helps stabilize and drastically decreases the movement of another person on the bed. I now barely feel my partner moving or getting in and out of bed and vice versa! I wake up feeling refreshed, It's amazing! I love the aesthetics this mattress gives with the sleek black color. It looks high quality and feels luxurious. The black will help hide any future marks and/or stains over the years instead of white, which stands out even with the smallest of marks. The medium pillow top mattress is quite firm, if I could go back and get a bit of a softer mattress or thicker pillow top. I would have preferred that. That is my only qualm about this bed. Which is more of a preference than a complaint. This mattress is still very supportive and contours perfectly to the body. I love this beautyrest black mattress and much prefer it to my other beds. There is so much built into this one mattress. It's amazing they fit it all in! It's 16.5 inches thick, has micro diamond memory foam, advanced temperature management, to help regulate body temperature and so much more. It is the most peaceful night of sleep you will have. I can't wait for what beautyrest comes up with next. I will purchase future beds from beautyrest and suggest you try beautyrest black if you want the best sleep you've had in years!

This mattress is great! The only thing I wish I was more enlightened on is the fact that it will curve to your body shape quickly over time. Some may like this, others may not. It was an adjustment for me. But overall, the plushness feels like you’re sleeping on clouds. I also like black mattresses as opposed to white. White looks nasty over time.
