This dress made by Frye is a super cute, dressier dress. I am an apple shape and I was worried about how this would look on me, being more straight than A-line, but I was pleasantly surprised! This is a size XL and I do normally wear a 16. I feel like it runs true to size. It’s a polyester blend fabric that is basically wrinkle free! Would be perfect for a night out or evening wedding…it is gauzy and breathable. I was happy with the chest and how it’s tacked down as to not bunch and/or gape open. It has pretty metallic threads throughout to give it some shimmer! The waist is elastic and simply pulls over your head, no zippers. I was happy that this maxi was not too long on me (no need for high heels) as I am only 5’ 3”! Super important for me when looking for a dress! All in all, it’s a great choice if you’re looking for a fall dress!

Fits great! Definitely true to size but if the waist band does stretch if need be. The material feels light and airy so it was perfect for a moderate day like 70°. But you can layer it and obviously be warm. I liked it with black pointed boots to complete the fit. I also really like that the slip underneath only goes to above the knee instead of all the way to the floor. Nothing is see through where it matters underneath but It still allows for a breeze!

Frye maxi dress is a beautiful flowy summer dress. The v-neck shape has a great detailing. Quality of the material and stitching looks great. Design on the waist area make the fitting perfect. It is highly recommended to anyone looking for a maxi dress.

Love this Maxi dress by Frye, it has a long flowing design. It really accentuates the waist and chest. It seems well made and durable. The material and design are beautiful and it has a shimmery quality. You feel covered but flattered by the fit. The material is light and flowy, but can be warm on a really hot day. This dress is best for spring, and fall weather. I have the blue dress in a size Medium. I would say it is true to size but also very forgiving.

I didn’t think I was going to like this dress but I was pleasantly surprised! Fits true to size and is lightweight and airy, perfect for spring. The fabric has subtle gold threads that aren’t really visible in the manufacturer photos. There are no buttons and no zippers. I have a large chest and it covers it perfectly without being too tight.

I love that this dress has long sleeves and that they are light and airy. The sleeves have a thin elastic at the wrist but can easily be pushed up to make a 3/4 sleeve. The sleeves and bottom half of the dress is sheer material. I would prefer the slip part underneath the dress be 2-3 inches longer. Overall a nice dress that can be dressed up for evening or worn BoHo style in the day.

I was surprised of the fit of the dress, I usually wear an xl but the large fit perfectly. It hugged right where the smallest part of my waist and was flattering. The sleeves are very sheer and oversized but overall it was a cute dress! The pattern is not something I would usually wear but I would recommend this dress!

The fit is comfortable and the elastic waist, provides some shape, although there’s quite a bit of fabric in the skirt. Depending on the lighting an angle, it can feel a little voluminous, but the sheer overlay helps keep it from looking too heavy. I especially think this dress will shine in the fall paired with boots and a cardigan. Overall, I’d give it four stars. It is modest with just a hint of flirty style, comfortable to wear, and perfect for anyone who loves rich seasonal colors and flowing silhouettes.

This dress is light and flowy. I appreciate that the under skirt is shorter than the top skirt. The fabric on top is not very comfortable, kind of rough feeling, but the under layer is soft. It’s breathable, which is nice. Love the color and pattern! Fits nicely. I’m 5’4”, 118 lbs, wearing a size XS.

I had high hopes for this Frye Maxi Dress, but unfortunately, it was a total miss for me. The Fit: For an XS, the cut is incredibly boxy and completely unflattering. It lacks any structure or shape, making it look more like a shapeless sack than a stylish maxi dress. The Fabric & Pattern: The online photos don't do justice to how unappealing the pattern is in person. To make matters worse, it features a silver threading woven throughout that looks cheap and feels scratchy against the skin, rather than adding a subtle shimmer. Bottom Line: Between the boxy silhouette and the ugly metallic fabric, this one is definitely going back. I would not recommend it if you are looking for something flattering or comfortable.
