This set is awesome! Do not let the couple bad reviews sway you. Yes, you do need to construct the house and drawers. But this is a craft countdown, is that not what we signed up for? Its another craft! The house is super easy to build, takes only minutes. If the directions and pictures arnt helpful there is a 5min video on the process making it super easy. Also, everything fits in the drawers. Yes, you do need to angle some, but everything fits. Because of the quality of house, you could easily reuse this each year with other crafts, toys or candies. I peeked at some crafts too and they are perfect for kids or adults. Love!

I found it fairly simple to put together as long as you are doing it on a table. Cute crafts and the kids loved it. I also appreciate that you can reuse it. I plan on getting a second one and painting it for Christmas as well!

We had a lot of fun putting this together with the kids. I don't understand the negative reviews. Don't pass this up and enjoy the afternoon of crafting with your family!

I was a little hesitant after reading the negative reviews, but it was so much fun unboxing and putting the haunted house together. Yes, we did end up helping the kids assemble the haunted house to ensure a tight fit, but it's already pre-painted and didn't require any nails or screws. It's formatted to fit like puzzle pieces. I don't understand the complaints about not having instructions. There is definitely a double sided instruction sheet with colored diagrams and detailed steps for the house and assembling the little foldable drawers, which already had self adhesive stickers on them. We just folded along the lines and stuck the edges with the adhesive stickers together. There's also a QR code if you want to watch the video, but it's not necessary. The craft bags are all labelled 1-13 and it tells you which drawers they go in and with some adjusting we got it to all fit in. The kids did only day 1 of the advent calendar so far, but the pouch had its separate instruction diagram listing which craft supplies to use from the kit included. I don't know if people just missed looking through everything or got ahead of themselves when unpacking all the items, but it wasn't that hard. I think the advent calendar is geared more towards kindergarten and up. It's a fun activity to do with a grown up. We plan on reusing the advent haunted house by using our own little Halloween themed surprises for next year.

Super cute! I've never seen a countdown to Halloween and thought what a fun thing to do with my grandkids! I planned to wait until October to open it, but the kids were so excited we went ahead. House has to be put together, but I watched the video and it was pretty easy. It only took about 30 minutes and the kids had fun helping me. Can't wait for the Halloween countdown!

I should have checked the reviews :( the butter knife tap tap in the video was not how this went. We did finally get it together, the outside is very cute. The crafts don't fit in half the drawers and you can't put the starter bag in or the drawers will not shut. Will use with other toys of fun items.

Saw this while in the store and picked it up. Thought it was a great idea and really cute. Went to build the house and none of the pieces fit into the holes. Couldn't even get past assembling the first 2 pieces! Skipped over to the second 2 pieces to see if that would possibly work, same thing...didn't fit. Very frustrating. Definitely believe the reviews. The bad reviews that say the pieces do not fit are true. They do not fit. No doubt about it. Maybe there is some sort of TRICK in putting them together? Some may have purchased a house where the pieces do fit. What a TREAT for them as this looks like it would be a lot of fun. The quality of the house is good, but what does it matter if you cannot put it together? Happy Halloween!

I understand this is an artistic activity for the children, but I did not expect assembling the house and all the drawers to be included. The process felt frustrating, and nothing fits inside the boxes either. Granted we haven't done any of the activities yet so hopefully that will make me feel better about buying .

hard to put together. craft bags dont fit in the drawers and need to be bent or rolled per the instructions which break the crafts. wood splinters when snapped together. craft bags have no instruction eithrr, thr open me first bag had paint, sticky things, and gems but nothing it adhere them to or directions on what to do.
