First off, all the bad reviews saying it’s hard to open are from people that can’t read directions. There’s a little rubber pop tap at the top that releases any suction and once that’s pulled up it can be opened very easily. When the tab is pressed down, the top is locked on. That being said, this bento box is a life saver. I no longer have to use plastic sandwich bags and the sandwiches and snacks I put in stay fresh until they’re eaten. It’s also very easy to clean and I plan on buying more soon.

It is the perfect size for my lunch to work. I bought it because I wanted stainless steel instead of plastic and the description says it is leak-proof, but the I did not expect it to be microwave safe without the lid. The box said the lunchbox is made of microwavable steel so that was a surprise even though I have yet to try it. Also, I like the removable divider.

I had a difficult time getting the top off. This led me to believe that by the time you get the top off, you’ve basically made a “tossed salad” of your meal. So I returned this item. I do like the Snack Cups and the Modern - but I wish both would have larger capacities.

This microwave steel lunchbox is great, but is very difficult to open. My second grader always has to ask for help, and it takes me a couple tries. I was hoping it would get easier over time (even for me), but it hasn't, so I'll need to find an alternative for school. Lunch is very short, can't waste time waiting for a teacher to come help. Aside from that, I LOVE this lunchbox! Arthritic hands might struggle, too.

My reason for purchasing this item was to pack pasta salad in school lunches without the oily leaked mess. This container did a good job preventing the lunch bag from getting slicked, but the divider did not do the same (under multiple trials). Ideally, I would have liked to order a smaller leak proof container just for the pasta salad, but did not see any offered. This size container is just too big for a single portion so I'm not really sure what to do with it.

Cannot microwave with the cover. That defeats the purpose. I gave the container away. Why make it microwaveable but then you have to find an alternative cover? Especially for the price? I do not recommend spending your money on this item. Not worth it.

Beautiful box! Great size, color is nice maybe a bit lessnintense comparing to website picture. The only issue I have is hard opening. The lid fitsnso tight that I cannot send child with box to school. There is that rubber "valve" but it is hard to pull it out or even when out the lid is so tight vaccum closed. Can you maybe help and explain what to do?

After a few trips through the top rack of the dishwasher, these are peeling like crazy. Wildly disappointing for the price I paid.

Hard to open the lid. You have to exert effort just to open it. Received mines with some scratches so not sure if this was returned by other customers
