I really don't know how people are saying it's less than good. I love a good spice, and I also love a good butternut squash soup. I really enjoy the flavor of this. Upon having this, I was pleasantly surprised by its smokiness, as well as the chipotle flavoring. As mentioned I really do like a good spice, even if it is overpowering in any sense. I plan to get a couple more so I have them in my freezer. To each their own on the soup, I guess.

The Chipotle spices overpowered the squash flavor not as good as the soup that they offered last year and the year before it's not bad just not up to my taste

I love the original Autumn squash soup that Sam's usually carries in the fall and had high hopes for this one. This has a sweet and spicy flavor that just doesn't quite taste right together. Unfortunately this is a miss for me and I hope they bring back the original one.

pretty sweet with some heat on the backend. For sure wanted less sweet, and maybe a little chipotle flavor without as much heat would be good

I enjoyed the flavor but the second container began bulging at the top after a couple weeks in the refrigerator. Had to puncture the plastic to keep it from exploding.

I loved the squash soup you have had in the past. I even bought some to freeze. They do freeze well. However I will NOT be purchasing any more of the new squash soup. In fact, I am throwing out the second container as well as the balance of the one I heated. I like spice but this burns my throat. I could not even enjoy the other flavors in the soup. Bad mistake to change the recipe! I also have enjoyed the tomato basil soup but you quit making that.

Disappointing. The squash soup was one of the few reasons I've kept my membership. Why do you guys drop all of the good items? This was the best comfort food out there. It would get me through the long dark days from the time change to February. Why ruin it by adding chipolte? Absolutely disgusting. Bring back the original.

Let me start with 2 facts. 1. I love spicey food. 2. I loved Sam's squash soup so much I would stock up on it at the end of the squash soup season and freeze it! I was so happy to see it on the shelf in August even with Chipotle and Maple seasoning. I was so disappointed when I tasted it!!! The new spices overpower the soup so much you can't tell it is squash soup. If I did a blind taste test I would not be able to tell if it is squash or potato soup because the spices are so strong. Please I am not saying it is hot, it isn't, what I am saying is there is too much spice and it overpowers the soup. I am not going to buy it again.

I was looking forward to the return of the squash soup they’ve had previous years. Not a fan. This one has a strong chipotle flavor. I don’t like spicy things. I would say this one isn’t too spicy, but it’s right at my line of being too spicy. If you often find things too spicy, this will probably be too spicy for you. I really hope they bring the other one back!!

I never write a bad review but this time I had to. What happened? No squash taste. Yuk. We wait for the Autumn Harvest soup and so we tried this one. Thank heavens I didn’t buy several packages. Bad substitute. Even the chipotle tastes ‘out of date.’ We ended up throwing what was in our bowls away.
