This review is actually of our XL Saxony Grill pergola…just finally finished installing last week. The pergola was easy to put together. Instructions were very clear, and 3d view was very helpful. My wife and I put as much as possible together in preparation for our sons joining us to connect the four posts and add the roof…it now houses our original outdoor kitchen. It is our 2nd Backyard Discovery pergola (you can see in the picture, behind the Saxony XL, our Arcadia Pergola, which we use primarily for concerts and movies). Bought this gazebo back in April and I'm satisfied, overall. The color has faded quicker than expected, but I get a lot of sun in my backyard so it's understandable. Putting it together wasn't terrible, it took me a couple of days to get it all together. When the larger pieces start to come together, I recommend having several pairs of helping hands. I mainly used the written instructions, but the instruction on the app also came in handy. I did tighten a few of the bolts earlier this week, and it seems that some of the lumber has become rather brittle. I'm noticing a few cracks in the posts, as well. Nothing overly concerning as of now, but I hope it doesn't get worse. It's a great addition to the backyard, and I love the flat, sloped roof design over a gabled roof. Hopefully it lasts for many years to come!

We bought our grill gazebo about a month ago and were able to put it together this weekend. It took us about six hours. Most parts lined up well, some needed “coaxing”. Overall we are very pleased with the results and love the way it looks on our patio. It is our second outdoor structure from Backyard Discovery.

We built our pergola 2 weeks ago and we’re in love. It’s such a great size and the quality is excellent. We are so happy to have this piece in our backyard. It really makes the whole thing come together.

Absolutely love our patio cover, bought the accompanying bar as well, completely finished out our space, compliments flow when guests arrived couldn't be happier!

We bought this Carport to provide shade in our courtyard area. there are many pieces and directions must be followed closely so everything lines up. Once it is together and installed, it is beautiful! We will get lots of use out of it!

Easier than I thought! Unfortunately, The cement patio wasnt big enough to accomadate the Pergola however, I had a professional make adjustments with the supplied materials. Took about 6 hours to complete and looks fantastic! On The day of installation, The temperature was 96° with the ," feels like" temperature around 104° with the humidity. But under the roof of the Pergalo, The temperature was 90° F AND the feels like temperature was 92° F. Needless to say, I'm very satisfied with the Pergalo.

I've had an excellent experience with the Backyard Discovery Saxony Grill Gazebo. The cedar construction is sturdy, attractive, and looks great on my patio. It provides plenty of shade while grilling and does a great job keeping the rain off, so I can cook comfortably in almost any weather. The assembly takes some time, but all the parts are well labeled and the instructions are easy to follow. Once it's anchored, the gazebo feels very solid. I also like the built-in shelves and hooks—they keep my grilling tools organized and within reach. Overall, this gazebo has completely transformed my outdoor cooking area. It looks like a premium product, is built with quality materials, and has become the centerpiece of my backyard. If you're looking for a durable, great-looking grill gazebo that's worth the investment, I highly recommend the Backyard Discovery Saxony.

This gazebo was the perfect size for our patio area. The quality is outstanding and the construction of it was not difficult but just time consuming. I completed it myself except for the front and back beams attachments. Added outdoor string lights and it's a perfect place to sit and relax.

Just finished assembling this and we love it. I will be honest, the assembly is tough and there are a lot of pieces. It took a couple of days to stain/waterproof the wood - make sure to look inside the main posts as there are quite a few smaller pieces tucked in there. Once you are ready to assemble, ask some friends over. We tried this with just the two of us and it is NOT recommended. We are using this as a carport and it is so much sturdier and attractive than the metals ones we purchased in the past. If we wanted to use it as a gazebo later on, simply move out the vehicles. I dare the Nebraska winds to knock this down!!
