Exactly What I Was Looking For!

So far this generator has exceeded my expectations. I got this to replace a never-quite-worked-right prior generator and it's so far working quite as expected. I'll know better come the winter months and the days of unending cloud cover (happens a lot here in Colorado) of course. It's a bit heavy and difficult to get it into place, but I eventually got it sorted properly. The cover will be good to keep it clean when it's not in use.

As Advertised

My purchase of the iGEN11000DFc has been an excellent little investment. The generator works as advertised; the first push-to-start was as simple as the 2-second instructions. It was much quieter than expected, as well. I was afraid of running something that sounded like my pressure washer, but this generator was quiet enough to have conversations while within feet of the idling generator.

Best Choice For My Backup Power Needs

I bought my Westinghouse generator two weeks ago and had it set up as my home backup power. I performed a test run of the generator after getting everything installed and it worked out great. I would recommend a Westinghouse generator to anyone looking for a home backup power solution.

Set-up and Break-In

I bought the unit for back-up power in the event of a power outage. I have set it up, added oil, and ran for the break-in period. I had an electrician add an female inlet plug, a 50 amp breaker and a generator interlock. So far, so good. I have had no problems as yet.

Great product.

I purchased this to replace a conventional generator I owned that was used to run my whole house minus air conditioner during the frequent power outages we are having. The new generator being an inverter is working better with my sensitive electronics and has had no issue running everything in my house. I would strongly recommend this product to anyone who has sensitive electronics that they would like to run off of a generator.

So far so good

I'm on hour 10 of break-in, so I've only run it up to 2,300 watts. Seems solid so far. The only issue is that the starter stays engaged around 5 seconds after the engine turns over. It's not enough of an issue for me to deal with any sort of a claim, but it's an issue nonetheless.

Powerful Inverter Generator

Seems well made. I like that an Automatic Transfer Switch ("ST" optional unit) can be easily added. Added oil, but the flexible funnel that was supplied has smaller size threads that won't screw into the oil fill opening..... Nice that two quality wrenches were supplied with the unit, to attach the wheels, legs, and handle. Started right up on gasoline, ran some break-in time using two 1500W heaters. Seems to be pretty quiet for such a large generator. Have not yet tried propane. A Parts diagram was supplied, noticed that this engine has a balance shaft, and an oil pump. I suppose, because of the pump, it has forced lubrication (versus splash), which is a nice feature. The Parts diagram is missing the piston and connecting rod, it needs updating.

Portable Quiet Standby Power

I needed to replace an Open Frame Generator. Purchased to primarily as a back-up power source. This is a large frame iGen and is very quiet considering the size. At 9K rated wattage, this is more than adequate to power my essential circuits during a power outage. Dedicated 50A outlet, selectable Dual fuel with parallel capability makes this unit the perfect Inverter Gen for my needs.

Can't wait to fire it up! Just received it!

Haven't fueled it up yet, but it arrived in excellent packaging and assembly was easy. Was surprised to see that Westinghouse even supplied tools. Living on the gulf coast, and just entering prime hurricane season, I am sure it won't be long before it gets to pay for itself. It's a very fine looking piece of equipment! Based on that and the excellent packaging it was shipped in, I have to give it five stars.

Very quiet

Bought almost a month ago but finally got it fired up today. Hooked up propane and it initially started but died. Started easily on 2nd attempt. I was amazed at how quiet it ran. Albeit with no load. Oil funnel was a little different. Had threads on it like it would screw in but did not. Wish there was an easier way to tell if it was full other than reinserting the dip stick and testing.
