Very Easy Set Up, Not as Loud as I Feared

I am doing the break in on propane as I review this. I hate dealing with the maintenance on gas engines. Setup and start up was pretty easy. The fact I can run this on propane and natural gas are the reason I got it. For a generator placed 15 feet outside of the back door, the noise inside isn't as bad as I figured it would be. I am also happy that the oil filter is built in and isn't a separate accessory, so that is one less part to worry about.

Rock Solid

Arrived strapped to a pallet and safely protected in a cardboard box. All parts included with easy to follow assembly instructions...even included the necessary tools to attach the wheels and legs. Decided to go with a portable model instead of a permanent standby generator in the event of a power failure based on cost. Paid an electrician to install a 50 amp plug and the gas company to extend access for natural gas. Overall about 20% of what it would have cost for a permanent installation. From what I've seen, this model is a great value with sufficient power for all our needs and still portable enough for me to move into place when needed.

Best Value!

This generator is built like a tank. It's durable, powerful, and easy to transport. The trifuel option allows you to use it in different applications. Assembling it only took 20 minutes. Very easy instructions for start up, and easy to operate. Overall great value purchase!

Reliable for outages, just manage for the noise

Just got the Westinghouse WGen11500TFc set up and tested, and so far I'm impressed. The tri-fuel option gives great peace of mind, and the engine runs smoothly with lower noise than I expected for this size. Build quality feels solid, and the low THD spec makes me comfortable plugging in electronics. The unit is heavy, so prepare yourself even with the wheel assembly. Also, remember to add oil before first start. We haven't had to rely on it in an outage yet, but based on testing, I feel confident it will deliver.

WGen10500TFc

The generator was delivered quickly after purchase. It was well packaged and delivered on a pallet. The minor assembly was quick and easy. I plan to run the generator on propane as the main fuel and it started up immediately when tried. Several other tests went the same with the generator starting right away. The remote start is a very nice feature. The generator is very well made and is easy to move around with the lift bar and wheels. I got it to provide back up during storm power outages and run the entire house.

This is my second Westinghouse Genny

This machine is very well-made and the featureful design and power made it perfect to get my family through Hurricane Beryl in Houston. I stopped only to change the oil for the first time as called for in the owner's manual, and I filled it with about 10 gallons of gas a day. Other than that, it was a workhorse. I love the 50Amp out because it plugged into my panel and ran my central A/C, my fridge, and all the lights and ceiling fans. Most importantly, it ran the coffee maker. We shut off the A/C when we did laundry, and it even ran the dryer. We didn't try the ovens because we have a gas grille, but I wouldn't be surprised if it would run them. We had it on the corner of the house away from windows, and I did notice that the exhaust was quite hot. The bricks on the house were hot. I haven't set it permanently in place, so I'll probably mov it closer to the natural gas line since it runs on LP and Natural gas too. That will save me trips to the gas station. It was really concerning at first that there were not any gas stations open, and as the crisis went into its third and fourth day, people were acting a little on edge, so having the LP option as a backup was nice too. We never lost our gas lines, so maybe that would be the way to go. I love the remote start. I wish it had an automatic off though, you have to remember to turn off the manual switch when it's not running. This is the second one I've had, and I killed the battery more than once on the last one I had. How hard would it be to have a remote sense on and auto off or a momentary on that stayed on 30 minutes or a few hours? I don't know what the drain is, so I can't guess, but it would be nice. I do like shutting it down from far away when I'm going to refill the tank and then after it's full, I can walk away and start it from far away. This saves me from having to wear ear protection. It's pretty loud. I wish they made an enclosure for this unit with built in ventilation and sound absorbing material. Hear me Westinghouse? LOL. Overall, I think I'd get an even more powerful unit next time, but this is very useful and reliable so far. Highly recommend!

Awesome Features!

Bought this tri-fuel generator to prepare for California's hot summers and rolling power outages. It's easy to use and was super simple to assemble. It was shipped/ packaged with a lot of care. I would recommend to anyone looking for powerful generators with various fueling options!

Love the features

Bought this in December 2024. Needed more watts for power outages.Have not got to use it yet for outage. However I do like the features it has. The 3 different fuel supplies will come in handy. Love the remote start. Also like when you choke it to start it, once it starts it self adjusts. Like the safety CO detector. Automatically shuts unit off. Believe its a good investment.

Very Impressive Beast of a Generator AND TRI-FUEL!

I live in Houston, TX and ordered this after Hurricane Beryl. Although I had a smaller gasoline-only generator, I wanted something larger that could run more of the things in my house and do so with various fuel choices. After some research, a friend and I each bought this generator and we are so happy we did. The generator is excellent, great quality, easy to use, flexible, and powerful!

Highly recommend this for house backup power!

Bought this last year in prep for hurricane season and installed house transfer switch. Installed natural gas connection this yr (2024). This generator was a lifesaver after hurricane Milton. Was able to run AC, fridge, freezer, pool pump, lights and microwave on nat. gas. My hope is to never use gasoline as I keep 8 propane tanks in reserve as well.
