All You Need

I bought this based on reviews. So many features. Easy to assemble. You can use propane or gas. It's my first generator. All I'll ever need. It came with all the accessories you need. Just add your fuel preference. Very easy to operate. Price was reasonable. Very happy.

WGen11500TFc

This is a solid built generator. Love the tri-fuel flexibility. The generator is not as loud as I thought it was be and runs my whole house after installing a soft start on my AC condenser unit. Way less expensive than a Generac, and I can take it with me if I need to move.

Off to a great start!

Did a ton of research and landed on the WGen11500TFc as striking the right balance of capacity, flexibility (multiple fuel sources) and low THD (prevent damage to sensitive electronics). Admittedly, I have only performed the initial 5-hour break in period, so it's a small sample size. Time will tell if the unit is durable, but so far so good. While varying some light loads during the break-in period, the unit would barely blip, so you can definitely tell that it has huge capacity. I used propane, and it worked flawlessly. Love the fact that I have flexibility to use propane or gas (also supports natural gas). Kudos to Westinghouse for including all of the essential hoses and hookups for natural gas and propane, along with oil and everything you need to get up and running. The most work you need to do is put the wheels and rubber feet on, add oil, and you're pretty much ready to go. Battery charger included as well. I have a 50 amp inlet, so this generator will give me close to full available capacity to power my house, including some of the larger power hungry appliances. The low THD was a must-have to avoid damaging my electronics, and I really appreciate that Westinghouse makes a number of portable generators that have THD, relative to other manufacturers. I would add that the generator, while heavy, is fairly easy to move and maneuver with the large wheels and handles. Another reason I preferred this generator was the size was much more manageable vs stepping up into the next tier. I wanted something with large capacity, but didn't want to deal with manhandling a massive portable generator. If I had one gripe, some of the documentation included with the generator seems to be incorrect. On the included quick start/mechanical guide sheet it says the THD is 23%. I've seen other reviewers on Home Depot's site comment on the THD being incorrect on the included documentation for this generator, so it seems to be a known issue. It just makes it confusing for a customer when the documentation is incorrect.

Awesome product

I did a lot of research and the WGen11500 TF is definitely the best power for the money!! Also like that it has low THD levels for sensitive electronics!! The build quality is much better than my old Predator generator. I highly recommend this if your looking for a whole home style portable generator!!!

Solid Generator

Bought for hurricane preparation as an upgrade from an old 6000W generator. The push button start works well with automatic retry and expect this will help all items (minus fuel) to get started out of the box were included. Very detailed manuals for maintenance, operation, etc included as well.

Westinghouse Powerhouse

This is an amazing generator that offers three fuel types to ensure that you are never out of power. I have hooked it to the natural gas line for my grill on the back of the house and used a behind-the-meter transfer switch for the easiest setup ever! Just keep in mind, this thing is extremely heavy to lift!

love the tri-fuel

bought this 10500 generator less than a month ago and haven't used except for testing. The options for fuel was a selling point for me along with the doubling of the running watts of my old generator. Using propane instead of gasoline makes maintenance easier with easier storage. I can store propane in my shed for years so I always have on hand when power goes out unlike gas that last a year with sta-bil. Using propane won't gum up the carb as quickly as gas does and since i store the generator in my basement, no fumes venting from the gas cap when all gas is not used up. So far, so good.

Power to Spare

This Westinghouse trifuel generator gives me more than enough power to run my house's utilities and devices, even when running on propane (I don't have an exterior nat gas connector). After charging the battery and adding oil and gas, it started right up. The remote start fob is a nice idea and it works but I'll probably use the start button on the generator. The feature that I didn't expect was how quiet this generator is. A nice surprise.

Love the versatility and power!

I just bought this generator. It was delivered ahead of schedule. Everything looks great. The funnel and oil bottle that come with it could work better. It is difficult to not spill oil because of the size and angle of the funnel. I filled it with oil and added some gas to the tank. It started right up and ran smoothly. When I added a load it adjusted quickly and smoothly. I'm very pleased with the purchase.

Great Value! Get aftermarket dip stick

I'm happy with the generator. I'm able to power my house with it running on propane. I just turn off my hot water heater and AC and can pretty much live normally. If I want to run my AC for awhile I just turn everything else off and it handles my 4 ton AC (i did install a micro air easy start to minimize the startup current though). Overall would recommend this generator. Definitely buy an aftermarket magnetic oil dipstick. After breaking in the generator there will be fine magnetic shaving that it will collect to protect the motor.
