Pretty Good overall

I bought the 10500w tri fuel, its worked pretty well overall. I installed a soft start on my 6 ton ac unit, and even with that it really chugs as it starts up the AC, and it has even failed a few times to start the AC. I have found I need to start the AC first and then turn on the other circuits, that inrush amp can be over the capacity of this generator. But once its on it works pretty well.

Great price for power

Received generator and currently setting up transfer to power home. Set up was quick and fired right up with propane connection. Gas hose is not fitting to 1/2 connection as advertised so maybe faulty hose fitting but one star reduction for that only

Off to a great start!

Did a ton of research and landed on the WGen11500TFc as striking the right balance of capacity, flexibility (multiple fuel sources) and low THD (prevent damage to sensitive electronics). Admittedly, I have only performed the initial 5-hour break in period, so it's a small sample size. Time will tell if the unit is durable, but so far so good. While varying some light loads during the break-in period, the unit would barely blip, so you can definitely tell that it has huge capacity. I used propane, and it worked flawlessly. Love the fact that I have flexibility to use propane or gas (also supports natural gas). Kudos to Westinghouse for including all of the essential hoses and hookups for natural gas and propane, along with oil and everything you need to get up and running. The most work you need to do is put the wheels and rubber feet on, add oil, and you're pretty much ready to go. Battery charger included as well. I have a 50 amp inlet, so this generator will give me close to full available capacity to power my house, including some of the larger power hungry appliances. The low THD was a must-have to avoid damaging my electronics, and I really appreciate that Westinghouse makes a number of portable generators that have THD, relative to other manufacturers. I would add that the generator, while heavy, is fairly easy to move and maneuver with the large wheels and handles. Another reason I preferred this generator was the size was much more manageable vs stepping up into the next tier. I wanted something with large capacity, but didn't want to deal with manhandling a massive portable generator. If I had one gripe, some of the documentation included with the generator seems to be incorrect. On the included quick start/mechanical guide sheet it says the THD is 23%. I've seen other reviewers on Home Depot's site comment on the THD being incorrect on the included documentation for this generator, so it seems to be a known issue. It just makes it confusing for a customer when the documentation is incorrect.

This Generator is a beast!

We bought a property and needed a generator to run the water well and power tools, not to mention portable AC, while working on the house that has no electricity. This generator has it all. 2 usb ports, a 30 amp & 50 amp plug, 4 standard outlets. In an emergency we could even use the generator to power our 42' 5th wheel RV on the property. That was a bonus as we didn't realize it had the 50 amp plug when we ordered it. This project is going to take a couple years so we made sure we got a generator with a great reputation and warranty backing it up. After the house is finished the duel fuel sourcing will be a blessing. Our property has a 100 gal propane tank on it and we will use this generator for backup power when electric goes out. The ability to save refrigerated and frozen food in that situation alone is well worth the cost.

Peace of mind delivers

Several people in our neighborhood bought this generator to get ready for the upcoming winter season. It was easy to assemble the "feet" and wheels that make this 230 lb. beast easy for just one of us to be able to set up when the power snaps off. The specs and instructions made it easy to coordinate the natural gas connector and breaker box hook-up. I'm looking forward to firing it up!

Bought in June, better to have and not need it….

I bought this after a power outage in Houston, TX. Since then, I have not yet had to use it but have prepped it and am ready. Will continue to break it in with tools and equipment. Love that it is tri-fuel and will eventually prep my natural gas line from the house to use that in the event I run out of gas/propane. Will update after an outage, hopefully that will be after some time.

Awesome Generator!

I purchased due to the hurricanes that impact Florida where I live. I hope I never need to use it but have peace of mind knowing I have it if needed. This was so easy to start by reading the detailed instructions. It runs like a charm and so pleased I purchased this model! Westinghouse products have been the best! Thank you!

Emergency Power

We purchased this generator after losing power twice in two weeks during the CA fires. SCE turned off our power even though we were not even remotely close to any fires. We had an electrician prepare the connection for our electric panel. Now we feel more prepared in case of an emergency. We picked generator because it can run off or gasoline, propane or natural gas. Have not used it yet.

Product overview

I purchased this generator at the end of March of this year. Fortunately I haven't had to use it but I do like the fact that it was packaged well and I received it with no damage. The generator seems to be well built and I think it will serve my family for years to come

Backup for our new home!

Bought it for “just-in-case” we lost power! Hauled it 85 miles to the new home and about 2 hours after arriving, no power! Hooked it up to a 5 gallon propane tank and it ran for some 2 3/4 hours. Got dinner fixed and still no power!! I have CPAP MACHINE so time to go to bed, switched to gas mode and ran until 1:30 am when power was restored! I'm so impressed with the ease of use the multiple power options!
