Peace of Mind

I bought this generator in the hope that I won't need to use it often. Living on the gulf coast during Hurricane season it's almost a necessity. Being large enough to run multiple appliances, small enough to be easily moved and operating on three fuels make this a good choice for emergencies.

Super Generator with multiple fuel sources

Bought this machine about two weeks ago and put it into service almost immediately. Started it with gasoline and had to transition to propane due to supply issues and it has never missed a beat. We run this unit at night from about 10 PM until dawn. It then rests until the next night. So far it has not used any oil other than the first oil change and it starts every time. It handles the electrical load it is designed to handle with no problem.

Excellent external generator for home/remote

The generator was delivered to the home yesterday. Despite its weight, the setup was straightforward and manageable without assistance. I charged the battery using the supplied trickle charger. Today, I hooked up a standard 20 lb propane cylinder and fired it up. The generator started on the second attempt using the remote FOB. The features are all clearly identifiable. I monitored the output using a FLUKE multi-meter connected to an oscilloscope for 30 minutes, and the 240V and 120V outputs were very stable, in fact more stable in frequency and voltage amplitude than the normal fluctuation observed in the utility-supplied power to the house. I particularly like the quick disconnect for the gas input. This will provide an easy connection to my larger propane cylinders. This generator replaces an older 16 kW self-starting generator (> 10 times the cost of the Westinghouse unit) that was done in by the Florida weather. Because the Westinghouse unit is portable, it can easily be stored in the garage during the hurricane off-season. Fortunately, the existing transfer connection makes for a quick hook-up to the home power panel. As expected of its size, the generator is not quiet. During use, it is on an outside wall of the garage, away from living areas. I will construct a protective housing to shield it from the elements and reduce noise while in use. I couldn't be happier with the purchase (days were spent investigating all options and products).

Lots of features but not enough to run my 5 ton a/

Overall the unit has tons of features and the 3 fuel options is definitely a plus. The only thing is I thought it would be enough power to run a 5 ton a/c unit but it looks like I'm going to have to purchase a soft start kit for the a/c unit. Hopefully that remedies the problem. Otherwise seems to be a great unit so far. Maybe a little on the loud side but that's to be expected.

Exceptional Generator

I bought this generator to be able to use it in an emergency situation and provide electricity to my house. I tested it out and it works like a champ. Not only have I been able to use it for my house, but also when I go camping. I 100% recommend this item. You will not regret it

Mostly positive set up and break-in experience.

I received this a few days ago. So far the assembly was easy and the Users Manual is well written. I have not been able to pair the remote start fob yet... when I follow the instructions the generator tries to start instead of going into pairing mode. Also, the "break-in" instructions need to be as obvious as all the safety warning tags. It was just a sentence kind of buried in the middle of the manual, and even then it only says to run under 50% capacity for the first 5 hours. If you want to prepare this to be ready for an extended heavy load during a power outage, you really need to complete the break-in immediately. I ran it in through 3 heat cycles, doing an oil change after the 1st hour, another cool down after 2 more hours, and then 2 more hours to reach 5 total, and doing one more oil change. I modulated loads periodically using variable 1500W a heat gun. Would have liked to add a space heater if I had one to load it closer to 50%.

Fantastic Usability

I bought this over a month ago and it has been great for powering the house with no worries at all. It is the perfect product for any potential storms that blow over, with being able to keep fridges, freezers, and AC perfectly operational, especially for anything that relies on gas power. Plus it's easy to move around.

Ready for the next storm!

We have been having more frequent power outages, so I was looking at generator options. I researched standby and portable generators and decided to get the WGen10500TFc. I chose a tri-fuel so I could use natural gas. The generator was well packed and shipped on a small pallet to prevent damage from shipping. I was easy to assemble by simply putting on the feet and wheels. It came with a funnel to add the oil. I connected the natural gas line and it took a couple auto auto-start cycles to purge the air out of the included 25-foot gas hose. After letting it warm up for a few minutes, I tested the 120V outlets with a 1700W heat gun and it barely fliched with the load. An electrician is coming in a week to upgrade my electrical panel with a 50AMP inlet. I will be ready for the next storm!

Excellent generator

After weeks research, I finally bought WGEN11500TFc. Use NG as source, replace NKG spark plugs and start immediately after two tries. Running 5T AC unit (with easy start), 2 fridges, modem, router, garage door, TV, PCs, 2 bedrooms. Really happy with it, be ready for the next power outage.

Very Impressed!

I purchased this generator for whole house backup. After researching several brands and models, the WGen1150TFc stood out for its fuel diversity and efficiency available power, and it's incredibly low Total Harmonic Distortion. This made the unit an ideal choice for my needs at a reasonable price!
