After doing some research, I settled on a 77" C5 for the best picture quality for gaming and movies. Really happy with my purchase and I will continue to be an LG customer for years to come!

Movies and sports look very real, and HDR with Dolby Vision is excellent. The Brightness Booster makes it great even in bright rooms. For gaming, this TV is perfect—smooth performance with 120Hz refresh rate, very low input lag, and features like G-Sync and FreeSync for next-gen consoles. The design is sleek with thin bezels, and it looks premium in the living room. The smart system is easy to use, fast, and supports Alexa, Google Assistant, and AirPlay. Streaming apps work smoothly. The sound is decent and Dolby Atmos adds some depth, but for a true theater feel, you’ll need a soundbar. Overall, the TV has amazing picture quality, great gaming features, and a stylish design. The downsides are the high price, average sound, and no DTS support. If you want one of the best TVs for movies and gaming, this is worth it—just plan for extra audio equipment.

The first night I set it up, I played a movie I’d watched dozens of times, only to be stunned by how different it looked. It felt like rediscovering something familiar through a new lens. As I switched between movies, shows, and sports, the α9 Gen 8 AI processor proved its value. Older content looked naturally sharper, action scenes stayed smooth, and colors remained accurate no matter what I was watching. When I connected my gaming console, the 144Hz refresh rate and low input lag instantly stood out; gameplay felt fluid, precise, and intensely immersive. WebOS 25 added to the experience with quick app loading, easy navigation, and thoughtful recommendations. The TV’s design, slim and modern, fit beautifully into the room without drawing attention to itself. Even before adding a soundbar, dialogue was clear and the audio had surprising depth. What impressed me most, though, was the consistency, no matter the content, the C5 delivered a cinematic, vibrant, and genuinely exciting viewing experience every time.

The colors are deep, have sparking contrast, and really highlight all blacks. It really gives that theatre feeling from the comfort of my home. I couldn't reccomend enough if you are on the fence. This tv has blown away any expectations I had. Also - the bundle came with a high quality soundbar and subwoofer, Bluetooth speaker, and a free mounting service which was done without any hassle and completed at a high level.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently replaced our old 50 inch TV with OLED C5 77 inch and the difference is unimaginable. Picture quality of this OLED panel is out of this world with the perfect blacks that provides an amazing contrast ratio. Screen is super bright and is comfortable for daytime watching in a room with ambient light. Watching HDR content on this TV is quite an experience with the eye popping details. I am sensitive to soap opera effect but this TV handles motion very well with no signs of soap opera effect. The sleek design with thin bezels add to the immersive experience. In-built 2.2 channel speakers are adequate if you don't want to add external sound. I haven't tried gaming on it yet but the 144 Hz refresh rate makes it one of the best TVs out there for gaming.
