The order was great this time. Substitutes were given on the few items that were missing. The site now says when something isn’t available. Nice size slices that are not too soft. Can support a sturdy sandwich, and make delicious toast or grilled sandwiches. The flavor is pleasant and mild. After opening has a nice shelf life. Cost Tends to run a little more than other white breads, but you are getting more for your money as the slices are larger and more dense.

I did not appreciate the substitution. I hate when bread is double wrapped. Also did not taste like sour dough bread. I feel like the bakery bread I ordered was available. It's on the top shelf and takes some looking for if you take the time. From now on I will have my daughter pick it up from Costco.

I prefer the thin sliced loaf, but makes a excellent substitute. due to the ingredients be'n identical %26 I just use 1 slice cut in half which works out to be about the same as 2 slices of the thin sliced loaf. I love the flavor-tastes like HOMEMADE!

I was looking for a decent sliced sourdough and started by looking for bread baked on-premises. A lack of good choices caused me to check the loaves produced by known companies, and Pepperidge Farm proved to be a good choice. In addition to be a good value for the price, the bread tastes very good. It has a relatively dense texture (fine with me). The slices are a little too wide for my toaster, so I put a couple slices in my microwave for 30 seconds to warm it up. Great for sandwiches, or just on its own with a bit of butter.

For 73 years I never knew anything about Sourdough Bread! 4 years ago I was given Medically Induced IBS! NOW, Pepperidge Farmhouse Sourdough Bread is the only bread I can eat! Sure, there are gluten free breads but they are small loaves and smaller slices! Pepperidge Farmhouse Sourdough Bread has wide slices of bread, had to get a new toaster to be able to toast them! This bread is so good toasted with nothing at all on it, just toasted bread! I get a craving for a slice of sourdough toast that's why I always get the Pepperidge brand! Sometimes I will put a couple of slices of Avocado on my hot toast and you can't imagine how good that is! So many flavors all at once! I highly recommend this bread even if you don't have IBS! Really tastes good and it is better for you than wheat bread. The gluten in wheat can make you have IBS too!
