Mostly cardboard, easy to open back perforated back panel, and no clam shell plastic. For those interested, the vast majority of the package can be recycled, with the exception of a few twist ties and plastic holders. The toy itself assembles in seconds. The truck and drop ramp are essentially assembled, leaving just snapping together the loop and the finish gate. As a nice touch, they include the connectors so that you can connect the set to other Hot Wheels playsets and track directly. The toy is built solidly. Sturdy plastic, with slightly flexible ramps/track. The included Hot Wheels cars are of the usual build and expected quality. Metal vehicles, good wheel spin, and designs the kids enjoyed and wanted to play with. Playing with the toy is also easy and fun. The launch ramp extends from the top of the truck and simply snaps open. The ramp unfolds and connects to the loop and finish gate. Kids simply place the cars in the track and let go, gravity and engineering does the rest. The vast majority of our cars have worked with the set. Some especially low or heavy cars would fit but could not complete the loop. Also some of the cars from specialty sets didn't work well, like the avengers cars where the top of them is the body of the character. The vehicle storage works well enough for what it is. There is room for 24 cars, but they just sit within the side panels and are held in by a small lip. They will hold if you drive the truck around or move it into a place you would like to keep it, but they will drop out if you were to tip the truck or similar. For the kids, the only real improvement they were looking for was a way to hold the car at the top and let it go. Some other Hot Wheels sets have a small gate or tire grab where the car can be positioned and a button pushed to let it go, this one does not. Regardless, they had a blast sending cars through loop or just disconnecting it and giving the cars a nice downhill start to see how far they could go. As a parent the main downside to this toy is ironically storage. While it stores the car and the ramp well, there is no place for the loop, connecting track, and finish gate. So you have to store those separately somewhere. You might find yourself trading a car storage problem for a track storage problem. All in all this is a really fun way to store some cars and get a great launch start for your children's vehicles come play time.

I love how simple the setup is, how compact it stores when not in use, and it can even hold cars for extra storage! Excellent design! Even more fun to play with!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] OK, listen.... I didn't think this one would be such a hit, but booy we really like this one. It works with our other hot wheels set and it gives height for launching. We really love using it with the double loopty loops. Also, from my perspective, I like that it stores the cars! Less tripping hazard. Hours of play so far, we love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received the Hot Wheels City Speed Drop Transport for my grandson. Rated at 4+ years, it was a little complicated for a 4-year-old to set up, although once put together he was able to enjoy racing the card down the track with the loop and finish line spinner. He loved the action and ability to load multiple cars onto the carrier to drive them to different spots. The carrier itself held 22 to 23 cars, possibly more for the shorter cars on the bottom rack. I appreciated the fact no stickers needed attached to the playset, unpack and go! The speed snap works great to attach the track pieces, and as always, a smooth ride on the track to the finish. A nice addition to the other Hot Wheels City pieces we already have!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This toy is the best! My 3 year old son LOVES this toy. He spends hours playing with it every day. The only issue I could possibly think of would be that the pieces come apart kind of easily. But they do pop right back in place!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loves everything by about this Hot Wheels Speed Drop Transport with 5 Toy Cars, Track Creator Loop, Straight Piece & Flipper. The pros super easy to build and figure out. I love that it didn't have a ton of pieces to build. Love the fact this track set can be expanded with other pieces. This set is generous with 5 toy hot wheels included. The truck actually moves and can be wheeled around which is an added bonus that it's a working toy. The truck has extra slots in the car for more than just the 5 cars it came with. No cons for this toy as my 7 year old loved it and a parent it was fast and easy to build.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son absolutely love this track. He has so much fun playing with it. He loves the cars that came with it too. Its easy enough for him to set up and take down each time. Pretty sturdy. Can connect to other tracks as well which is a bonus!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Perfect 2-in-1 storage and race track. It has an adapter to connect with other tracks. Also, I hold a lot of cars and is compact. Honestly, it's one of the best hotwheels items to go along with hotwheels cars fans.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My grandson is in love with this race track. He stores the cars on the transpot semi. It is brightly colored. The cars are si,ed just right for his 3 1/2 year old hands. He is enjoying many hours of imaginary play time with thus toy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So much fun. Hot wheels are fun for the whole family. This toy brought my 17 year old and my 3 year old together. They played together with it for hours. Hot wheels are such a classic toy that you can't go wrong with. I also like the new track design and the also give you a adapter to attach the older track to this new design.
