I used it to grind wheat berries once and it ground them with no problem. The center blade removes for easy cleaning and the lid locks in place securely so there's no mess. We used frozen, rock hard ingredients, except some coconut milk and honey, and we are truly happy and satisfied with the snowy type texture we got from frozen delight we made ourselves! It was really in about 30 seconds. The multi-level blade design ensures ingredients don't get stuck at the bottom, resulting in a perfect even blend. The large pitcher make it easy to prepare 4-5 servings of smoothies at one.
