Beans are solid for espresso, not that freshly roasted but that’s expected at this price for 40 oz of branded coffee. Better than I expected though, but doesn’t compare to freshly roasted quality beans.

I enjoy bitter coffee, and this does it. I grind the beans at home just before using. Use a espresso machine and don't add anything. This is the way to enjoy.

Ordered this for the first time online for delivery. Was surprised how large it was. I love dark roast and was a little afraid espresso would be too strong but was pleasantly surprised how much I liked it.

This coffee has a deep, rich flavor we enjoy very much. Having it shipped to our house was convenient. The price makes it a good deal. We will continue to buy it.

I am not a big fan of French roast, so have been leaning towards stronger tasting espresso roasts for daily drinking. This has a good price, tastes great, and was delivered very fast.

If you like dark roast with a deep rich flavor this is the one. Follow the instruction on the bag and its almost too strong. I adjusted it to my own tastes and the flavor is really great. Nice strong cup of Joe

Love the bold taste of Starbucks coffees. Pleasantly surprised how fresh the coffee is upon opening bag. Hope Sam’s offer other bold flavored whole beans like French, Italian or Sumatra…

Great so far. My only concern is keeping the beans fresh until they are all used. Buying by the sealed pound keeps it fresher. I dropped some beans into the freezer in a ziplock to attempt to preserve them for a longer term.

I had been buying this coffee in small retail bags when I could find it in stock. The 40 ounce package is more convenient and a cost saving purchase. Thanks Sam's.
