Title: Completely Unreliable for High-Value Jewelry — Ruined a Special Occasion
I had an absolutely unacceptable experience with Sam's Club regarding a 2-carat diamond ring purchase, and I strongly warn others not to buy fine jewelry from them—especially if you need it by a specific date.
The ring did not arrive on time, and even worse, it was never shipped at all. Despite the delivery deadline passing, Sam's Club continued to hold my funds while providing no real answers or urgency. This purchase was tied to a very special, time-sensitive event, which I made clear to customer support, yet they showed zero concern for the impact their failure caused.
I explained repeatedly that the delay would create serious issues, especially during the holidays when inventory is limited and prices are higher. Because Sam's Club failed to deliver—or even ship—the ring, I was forced to scramble at the last minute to find another ring elsewhere, pay more money, and deal with limited availability due to holiday stock shortages.
Customer service was equally disappointing. The representative I spoke with said she would investigate and promised to call me back the same day due to the urgency of the situation. That call never happened. I never heard from her again. No follow-up. No resolution. No accountability.
To make matters worse, while all of this was happening, Sam's Club was still holding my money, preventing me from immediately purchasing a replacement ring elsewhere. This created unnecessary financial stress on top of an already emotional situation.
If you need a ring for an engagement, proposal, anniversary, or any meaningful occasion, DO NOT trust Sam's Club. Their jewelry fulfillment process is unreliable, their customer service is dismissive, and they do not take responsibility when they miss critical deadlines. This experience was stressful, costly, and completely avoidable.
I will never purchase jewelry from Sam's Club again, and I strongly advise others to look elsewhere for important, high-value purchases.
