The inner fleece lining is very soft and can be removed and worn alone for lighter days and then worn beneath the outer layer for extra warmth on colder days. The outer layer is water and wind proof and the material feels very thick. The hood on this jacket large and covers the head and ears easily. The arm cuffs also adjust to keep cold air out. This is a very high quality jacket.

Snaps keep both jackets securely together at sleeves and neck for seamless wear either way. Jacket fits great, true to size and is easy to get on and off and zip on their own. Pockets are roomy enough for whatever treasures they find along the way too.

I gave it a 4/5 stars because the inside liner likes to come out instead of staying where it should. I wish there was some snaps to keep the large part stuck together.
