Please know our appliances come with limited one-year warranty. We'll either replace your product with a new or remanufactured product, or refund the purchase price of the product at GE Appliances sole discretion. Some sounds are normal. Normal noises typically cease after 10 to 45 minutes within the ice making cycle. Hard surfaces like the floor, walls and countertops can amplify these sounds. If the ice maker is making a continuous grinding noise, this is not normal. If it is doing this, please contact Opal Support for service at myopalservice.com or call 866-907-6718, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, EST. If your ice maker is not working, make sure the ice bin is pushed all the way in place. We suggest trying to reset the ice maker by unplugging the unit for 3-4 hours.
