Amazing looking TV, flawed remote and WebOS

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pros: It's an amazing looking TV. This is my 3rd LG OLED and they never let me down when it comes to picture quality. It's just stunning. The 83 inch was a lot lighter than I thought it would be, so that was a plus when mounting it to the wall. Cons: The remote is 2/5. They are going with a minimalist approach, pushing AI and ThinQ for your interactions with the TV. Please LG, if your going to go minimalist on the remote, include a play and pause button. The wheel button has been problematic to start and stop play in some streaming applications (Paramount+ comes to mind). I don't need dedicated streaming service buttons. What I really miss is a play, pause, and mute button. The holding down the volume to mute is just annoying and not intuitive. The bloatware and advertisements on the WebOS has been getting more and more invasive. LG does a decent job of letting you disable a lot of the advertisements, but I wish I could remove the apps that come preinstalled. The AI features are not impressive so far. I haven't found any of it useful, yet. Conclusion: Overall, I love the TV even with the regression in the new remote design and WebOS drawbacks.

Great TV set, lots of unwanted features

I do like this product and it does have a very clear picture. I really wanted an OLED TV because of the crispness of the display. There are many features which, I guess, most people these days require of a TV set. However I and my partner are of an older generation who simply want a broadcast TV and have little use for streamed free or subscription services. Therefore the plethora of selectable services are an irrelevance to us. Further, the TV set takes an extraordinarily long time to boot and reminds us of the days of thermionic tubes and CRT's taking time to warm up. Hence the 4 star rating.

Brilliant TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you are looking for the ultimate centerpiece for your home theater, the LG OLED77C5PUA is effectively the "gold standard" TV of 2025. Succeeding the wildly popular C4, the C5 doesn't reinvent the wheel—it polishes it to a blinding shine. I have spent two weeks with the 77-inch C5, throwing everything from 4K Blu-rays to high-frame-rate PC games at it. Here is why this TV is an absolute beast. 1. Picture Quality: Intelligence Meets Intensity The headline feature this year is the new α9 AI Processor Gen8. LG talks a lot about "AI" in their marketing, but this year you can actually see it working. Brightness: While the C5 doesn't have the Micro Lens Array (MLA) tech reserved for the pricier G5, it is noticeably brighter than last year's C4. The "Brightness Booster" tech pushes highlights—explosions, streetlights, stars—with an intensity that makes HDR content pop off the screen. SDR Performance: This is the sleeper hit feature. The C5 takes standard content (like older TV shows or 1080p streams) and revitalizes it. The upscaling is cleaner, sharper, and brighter without looking artificial. Color & Contrast: You get the infinite contrast OLED is famous for. Blacks are inky and perfect. Colors are rich but natural. 2. Gaming: The Best Just Got Better If you are a gamer, stop looking. You have found your TV. The 77-inch canvas is immersive enough to replace a multi-monitor setup. 144Hz Refresh Rate: PC gamers can push frame rates up to 144Hz for buttery smooth motion. VRR & ALLM: With full support for NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium, screen tearing is nonexistent. Game Optimizer: The dashboard puts critical settings (black stabilizer, genre presets) one click away. Input lag is virtually undetectable. 3. Design & Usability The "C" series aesthetic remains undefeated. The panel is razor-thin—thinner than your smartphone—and the 77-inch model sits on a sturdy, premium stand (though it begs to be wall-mounted). webOS 25: The new operating system is snappier than ever. The "AI Concierge" actually learns what you like rather than just pushing random ads. Navigating between Netflix, GeForce Now, and HDMI inputs feels instant. 4. The "Wow" Factor There is something visceral about a 77-inch OLED. It fills your peripheral vision. Watching Dune: Part Two or playing Cyberpunk 2077 on this screen isn't just "watching TV"—it's an event. The sheer scale combined with the pixel-perfect contrast creates a 3D-like depth that LED TVs still can't quite replicate. Any Downsides? Sound: The built-in 2.2 channel audio is surprisingly decent with clear dialogue, but if you are spending this much on a visual masterpiece, do yourself a favor and buy a Dolby Atmos soundbar. The TV deserves it. Glass Reflection: Like all glossy OLEDs, you'll want to control the lighting in your room. It handles reflections better than the C3 or C4, but direct sunlight is still the enemy. Final Thoughts The LG OLED77C5PUA is a triumph.[1] It sits in that perfect sweet spot: significantly better than entry-level OLEDs, but much more affordable than the flagship G5 Gallery Series. If you want a TV that will make your jaw drop every time you turn it on for the next 5 years, this is the one. Pros: Stunning HDR brightness and contrast Class-leading gaming features (144Hz, 0.1ms response)[1] New Alpha 9 Gen 8 processor makes everything look 4K[2] Gorgeous, ultra-thin design[3]

BIGGER IS BETTER and AMAZING!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really cannot comprehend how far Tvs have come in just a few years. This C5 OLED comes with an amazing amount of clarity and brightness that helps if you have a bright room. Out the box, the colors all pop on each picture setting. There's no tinkering that needs to be done. I hooked it up with my PC and PS5 and you can tell the extra Hrz really helps with gaming. I cannot think of any negatives but if you're on the fence between a 65 inch or 77 inch, go for bigger. That's a huge difference in size and it really helps bring out the picture. GREAT GREAT PRICE TOO

Great features, terrible ordering process.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The tv its self is great. Good size, color, and features. The proceeds of purchasing is a pain in the you know what. You would think a company would make it as easy as possible to purchase and acquire your item. Instead you jump through multiple hoops, many of which are in place to try and get you to forfeit your warranty. Product 4/5 company 2/5.

LG OLED C5 85 Inch

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received our LG OLED C5 85-inch TV today. The delivery team handled it properly and safely, and we were excited to unbox it. The picture quality is really good and we're very happy so far. The purchase process was smooth, and the support team was really helpful in guiding me and confirming this was the right choice for me. The TV looks premium, and the build quality feels solid. We're getting ready to mount it on the wall and can't wait to enjoy movies, sports, and everyday viewing on this big screen. Very happy with the purchase so far.

Insanely bright and vivid colors!!! Must buy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Finally upgraded after 6 years with a standard LED. This thing is absolutely amazing. When they say OLED's are bright, they mean it! This tv is used for Netflix/streaming predominately in a brightly lit room with windows. The color and quality of the image is astonishing. Such an upgrade.

OLED 65" TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] LG were an absolute joy to deal with during the online order and purchase process. Great that there is no hard sell or annoying up-sell choices to make on the customer journey. Also, the fact that the price was very competitive when purchasing direct and I could not have been happier with the quick speed of delivery and their communication surrounding this process. Max 5 stars is not enough I'd give a rating of 6 stars!!

Great picture quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Where this tv really shines is in the depth of its blacks. I tested it with a few space movies: 2001, Interstellar, Gravity. Wow, every time it pans to the stars, I am floored. I didn't like the stutter, but LG has Tru Motion built in which fixes all those problems. Overall, great tv.

Absolutely beautiful TV.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just got my LG C5 83" OLED—stunning! Colors pop with vibrant, lifelike accuracy that makes movies magical. Packed with cutting-edge features like seamless webOS and gaming perks. CPU feels lightning-fast so far, menus zip along smoothly. Haven't tested AI deep yet, but early vibes are promising. Sharp 4K upscaling, deep blacks, and immersive sound. Super happy—worth every penny! One caveat. I did purchase this TV during an LG promotion stating that if you left a review then you will receive a gift card back. However, I am now reading that many people are not being rewarded as they've ran out of redemption quantity. This would definitely be a changing factor and I am sure I wouldn't be the only disgruntled character since this was a big deciding factor on my purchase. A $300 "rebate" for a C5 and even a "$500" rebate for a G5 is a significant amount.
