The best TV I have ever owned

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought it expecting it to be really good, but it completely exceeded everything I had in mind. From the first time I turned it on, I just sat there for a minute taking it in. The picture quality is incredible. Colours look rich and natural, blacks are truly black, and everything feels sharp and smooth in a way that makes even normal TV feel special. What really surprised me is how people react to it. Every single friend or family member who has come over has been blown away. A lot of them genuinely did not believe a TV could look this good until they saw it in person. The usual reaction is just “wow”, and after a few minutes watching, most of them start saying they want an OLED too. One of my favourite things about this TV is how it handles dark scenes. I actually ended up rewatching Stranger Things just to experience it again on this screen. And it was worth it. Every scene in the dark looked incredible. You can see every detail clearly without losing that deep, cinematic feel. Nothing looks washed out, nothing looks grey, it is just clean, deep, and immersive. It honestly felt like watching it properly for the first time. Another thing I really appreciate is how comfortable it is on the eyes. The picture is stunning but never harsh. It has this smooth, natural look that makes you want to keep watching without feeling tired. I also noticed how close the colours feel to my MacBook Pro. If you are used to the Retina display, you know how well calibrated and clean it looks. This TV gives me that same feeling but on a much bigger screen. Everything looks accurate, balanced, and just right. It is not just about the picture either. The whole experience is great. The UI is fast, smooth, and responsive, apps load quickly, and everything feels simple and polished. It is one of those products that just works properly every time you use it. Yes, OLED costs more than a regular TV, but after owning this one, I can honestly say it is worth it. This is one of those purchases where you can see the value every single day. The LG OLED65C56LB has genuinely become one of my favourite things in my home. It has made movie nights better, gaming better, and even just relaxing in the evening better. It is the kind of TV that people notice straight away and remember. I can say this honestly: this TV did not just meet my expectations, it completely blew them away.

Great all round TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very happy with this purchase. Brightness levels are great, colour is fantastic, and the sound quality is very impressive too. I watch a mixture of content and everything from the contrast, the detail shown and the upscaling really is great. Overall I am extremely happy with this TV.

Many Great Features!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tv has made such a difference to us. My husband is hard of hearing and being able to adjust the sound quality tone etc as details as you can with this tv's technology is a game changer. The quality of the picture and ease of use is also very impressive. Glad we invested.

Started great but now things took a turn…

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having had this for a few months now, it started great, but now all apps keep crashing (Netflix/apple to/ prime/ bbc etc) I spoke to lg and they did all tests and changes, nothing helped. The advisor them spoke to their engineers and we tried more fixes…nothing worked. They then said speak to the app developer, but it's not a glitch on the end of all apps for sure. Ive seen a lot of c5 oled people with the same issue and it seems like a memory or board issue. I tried to speak to LG again but I've got no where and Im concerned i have a very expensive paperweight instead of a beautiful Oled TV. If so many people are writing of this issue on google, YouTube and Reddit, then why do we still have the issue, or not automatic replacements or maybe upgrades? I would really love for someone from LG to see this, know that even their engineers couldn't fix this issue and step up to assist with a real fix, replacement or upgrade to a less glitchy model.

Great Picture Quality & Easy Setup

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've been using this TV daily for streaming, movies, and general family use, and the picture quality was the first thing I noticed. The colors look really vibrant, and the contrast is especially impressive at night. Dark scenes look much clearer compared to the TV we had before, which makes movies feel more immersive. Setup was easier than I expected, and getting everything connected didn't take long. The menu is easy to navigate, and overall the TV feels fast and responsive when switching between apps and settings. I also really like the design. Even though it's a very large TV, it's surprisingly slim and doesn't make the room feel crowded or bulky. Overall, this has felt like a noticeable upgrade for our living room, especially for movie nights and everyday streaming. If picture quality and a sleek design matter to you, I think it's a solid option. Review submitted as part of a program that provides a purchase discount.

Excellent picture quality and premium OLED experie

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very happy with the LG OLED65C55LA. The picture quality is excellent, with deep blacks, vibrant colours and smooth motion, especially for films and streaming. The design looks premium and the smart TV interface is easy to use. Sound is decent for a slim TV, though a soundbar would make it even better. Overall, a great OLED TV and very good value.

Love the display

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love my LG C5! I spent weeks comparing it against the 77-inch Samsung S90F before pulling the trigger, and I have zero regrets. While the Samsung is undeniably bright and punchy, the C5 wins out by a mile when it comes to overall cinematic quality, processing, and everyday usability. The upscaling on the LG C5 is phenomenal, taking lower-resolution streams and making them look incredibly sharp and natural. What really sealed the deal for me, though, is the inclusion of Dolby Vision. Movies and shows look stunning with rich, infinite blacks and beautiful shadow detail in dark scenes, whereas I felt the Samsung's contrast in similar environments could look a bit washed out. If you are a gamer, the C5 is an absolute dream. It handles Dolby Vision gaming and sports 4K at 120Hz/144Hz beautifully across all of its HDMI 2.1 ports. The Samsung S90F is gorgeous if you only care about ultra-vivid colors and maximum peak brightness in a bright room, but if you want a true all-rounder that excels in movies, TV, and gaming, the LG C5 is the clear winner!

Superb picture, poor quality remote

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Superb picture quality, would give a 5* review however, the symbols on the remote control soon wear away. After less than six months some are barely legible. Chat box recons this is normal wear. I have had cheaper Sony and JVC remotes which have not worn at all and are many years old. This lets down the quality of an expensive TV.
