Fantastic Picture Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Superb to and better than any that went before. Their first match Oled picture is superb and the design of the to is clean and not fussy with a very thin bezel. Think the remote should be backlit when handled and be bit more up to date style wise

Awesome TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let's just get straight to the point: the LG C5 is exactly what you expect from LG's mid-range OLED—which is to say, it's brilliant. If you're upgrading from an older LED or even a few-year-old OLED, you'll notice the difference immediately. That perfect, inky black level that only OLED can deliver is as stunning as ever, but LG has clearly kept pushing the brightness. While it's not quite the sun-gun that the high-end G5 is, the C5 is definitely bright enough to make HDR content truly pop, even in a moderately lit room. The picture quality is simply beautiful. Colors are rich and accurate, and thanks to the new Alpha 9 Gen 8 processor, motion handling is incredibly smooth. Watching a 4K movie in Filmmaker Mode (with Dolby Vision, naturally) feels like getting a private screening. The sense of depth and contrast is just unbeatable at this price point. Where the C5 truly shines is for gamers. With four full HDMI 2.1 ports, 144Hz VRR support, G-Sync, and an absurdly fast 0.1ms response time, this thing is future-proofed for the fastest PC and console gaming. If you own an Xbox Series X and want to take advantage of Dolby Vision Gaming, the C5 is a no-brainer. Everything is crisp, tear-free, and buttery smooth. Now for the few gripes. Firstly, if you're getting the smaller 42-inch or 48-inch models, you lose the full Brightness Booster technology and the anti-glare screen found in the 55-inch and up versions. That's a real shame for desktop users or those with smaller, brighter rooms. Secondly, the new remote design feels like a step backward. It's slimmer, but they moved the dedicated mute button to a long press on the volume rocker, which is just annoying when you need silence right now. Finally, while the WebOS smart platform is comprehensive, the push toward more AI features and a few intrusive home screen ads is a distraction on a premium television. You can disable the ads, thankfully, but it shouldn's be a thing in the first place. The Verdict: The LG C5 is the sweet spot in the OLED market. It delivers flagship picture quality and unmatched gaming performance. If you can stretch your budget for the 55-inch or larger size to get the full brightness boost, this is a TV that will absolutely dominate your living room entertainment for years to come.

So glad we went this big. Unreliable AI/search

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So great compared to my 55" LG OLED of 9 years ago. Bright, detailed, good colour. A little complex to get the wanted picture settings selected under all circumstances (each source has to be set up individually) but once complete, it performs as expected. We watch in filmmaker mode, with occasionally using Expert Bright for anime during the day. Sound usually handled with Denon Cinema amp, so can't really comment on TV's own sound. We watch films, anime, UHD Blu Ray, and PS5 and I've yet to be disappointed. Only criticism is that the volume and mute buttons are not easily located by touch in the dark (too often hit the home button which kicks you out of your app/content), and the AI voice features and search are both unreliable and sporadic, and often the volume is deafening compared to your watched content (especially during atmos films where the average volume is quite low), and once the AI is engaged, a nightmare to exit. I resort to cursoring the on screen keyboard as as more reliable (but slower) way of finding content. Teething problems that are unimportant to me compared to the main purpose of visuals, but annoying.

Fantastic TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is why you buy an OLED, and the C5 delivers. The perfect blacks and infinite contrast are still stunning to see, even if you're used to the technology. Where the C5 really shines, and where I agree with the expert consensus, is in its brightness and color. Watching 4K HDR content (especially in Dolby Vision) is a transformative experience. Highlights pop with incredible vibrancy without washing out the rest of the image, and the color volume is outstanding. In my moderately bright living room, the C5's brightness is more than enough to provide a punchy, gorgeous image during the day, which is a huge step up from older OLEDs.

Awesome Oled TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first OLED, and I'm really impressed. The TV is sharp, colorful, and clear. I picked it for movies and gaming, and it works perfectly for both. Setup was easy, and the smart features are easy to use. I'm glad I went with this TV

Excellent TV!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Stunning picture quality, amazing brightness and clarity even in a bright room. Clear crisp image with an excellent refresh rate. Easy to set up and use. The built in sound is decent but I would recommend a sound bar. Looking forward to enjoying this television for years to come!

LG C5 OLED 83inch

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Stunning 4K OLED picture with deep blacks and vibrant color, powered by the Alpha 9 AI Processor Gen8 for fast upscaling and smooth image processing. Great for gaming — supports up to 144 Hz refresh (very smooth motion and low input lag). Connectivity is solid: four full HDMI 2.1 ports plus modern wireless options, so hooking up consoles and sound gear is effortless.

Goldie Locks TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fantastic TV right in the middle range a step above the B and right below the G series. This is a fenomenal value specially at black Friday prices for a 77 oled. Couldn't be happier with the LG C5 77 Definitely worth it and highly recommended!!

Excellent picture quality and webOS

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you're looking for a large-screen (77″) TV and want one that delivers top-tier visual performance, modern gaming features, and a smart TV experience with solid upscaling and future-proofing, the LG C5 is a very strong choice. Just make sure your room conditions support it (i.e., controllable light and viewing distance suitable for 77″)

Poor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This TV does not have a remote that has a Freeview play button. I've tried to load freeview via the apps but to no avail. When I read about this TV it was recommended by many but had I known I couldn't get Freeview I would not have bought it.
