We have had our Lennon sauna for 2 weeks now, and we have been in it almost every night!!!! My husband and I have an urban farm stay & farm experiences, and we wanted a sauna to not only help with our own health journey, but to also share with farm guests in the future. We loved the Lennon with the porch for its glass door so we could view the animals, the cedar looks and smells amazing, construction is solid! It took us about 10 hours to assemble, very clear instructions! The design is well thought out, and stunning in person. We've already had many farm guests asking about it, and commenting how nice it looks. We loved that the steel roof was included cause ours is outdoors. Has been heating up very quickly! Just overall impressed, and happy with our choice!

I have owned this sauna for around 3 weeks and I love it. There is really only one issue that you might have of which I found in a review before I purchased it. I live in the pacific northwest so we get some rain as you can imagine and the roof design has one major flaw. The roof is built with steel that like most steel roofing has high and low points. The design has black cedar trim pieces that get attached to the front and back on the ends of the steel. Doing the build the way they direct you will not allow the water to run off and it just becomes a lake on top. I am a general contractor so I knew how to fix this and what I did is working well. First if you buy this sauna you should set it on a pad that has a lower area in the back of the sauna. This will allow the water to run off the back once you make the change I am suggesting. I left the trim off of my build and purchased some black 2” by 2” angle flashing from Home Depot. I cut the flashing into 2-5” pieces, 10-4” pieces and then one longer piece in the center. I started with the 5” pieces on the lowest area and the layered the 5 -4” pieces around the corner and finished with the long piece so every piece goes underneath the roof tin and is over the top of the piece below it. The caulk between the roof tin and the flashing. It only took about 15 minutes to do and literally doesn’t look any different.

We absolutely love our Backyard Discovery 4–6 person sauna! Compared to competitors we looked at, the wood in this sauna feels much thicker, more durable, and clearly built to last. I workout all the time and cannot wait to use this after my workouts. It heats up noticeably faster than other models we’ve seen, which means less waiting and more relaxing. Plus the bluetooth and adjustable light feature allows me to set the temperature and lights ahead of time. We already have a Backyard Discovery gazebo in our backyard, which is incredible. We continue to get rave reviews on the gazebo and now I know we will get the same on the sauna. The quality of this sauna lives up to the same high standard. If you want a well-constructed, efficient sauna that feels premium at every touchpoint, this is it!

Honestly impressed with this sauna. The wood is nice and thick, so it feels solid and well-built, not flimsy at all. You can tell it's made to last. What surprised me most is how fast it heats up — no long waiting around. It's become my favorite way to unwind after a long day. If you're looking for a durable outdoor sauna that gets hot quick, the Lennon from Backyard Discovery is a great choice.

The Backyard Discovery Lennon Sauna is an incredible product at any price, it just happens that's it's also the most affordable sauna you'll ever need. The PrarieFire heater is over engineered for the space, it warms up in a fraction of time of other saunas. If you're looking for an incredible turn-key sauna setup at a fraction of the price of other saunas, the BD Kennin checks all the boxes.

After some research and looking at different options, I landed on this sauna. It arrived fairly quickly, in the instructions were very easy to follow. It took me roughly a day to put together, in the final result was incredible. My wife and I use this 3 to 5 times a week, and it's been the perfect way to recover and to improve our sleep. I initially had some concerns about how it would hold up in the Texas heat (yes, call us crazy for buying a sauna in Texas), but so far everything has been excellent. The heater is perfectly sized, and it has been a fantastic overall addition to our backyard.

I bought this a month ago and have used it consistently since then. Set up is very easy and they did a great job with the instructions. No missing parts, easy to follow, and the pre-drilled pilot holes were surprisingly accurate. As far as using it: Heats up very fast and maintains heat well; I love being able to use an app to turn it on from the house but the app (Tuya) is just awful. Perhaps they could use a different 3rd party app. Also the touchscreen interface that sits on the exterior is borderline useless. The touch is so non-responsive that its as if its broken. Also, you may want to put a cover over the screen so that it is not burned by the sun. Overall, still 5 stars. But this company needs to hire an interface designer next time they attempt a control unit..

I am a Finn so I have been to many saunas in Finland, electric, wood burning, smoke and I have to say I am impressed with the Lennon sauna. Assembly was easy, instructions logical, everything in the design was great and it looks beautiful. I stained it outside to add to weather proofing and to better match it with my house. Yesterday was time to test it. I was surprised how fast the sauna heated. I set it to 80C and it was plenty to give nice and crispy "löyly". I feel like a real Finn again!

I bought this in August. It arrived in about a week. The boxes are all numbered and the instructions are easy to follow. I'd call this "advanced level IKEA building", with far better instructions. I'd definitely recommend reading the instructions first and sorting all of the materials. This saved us a lot of time in the end. The trickiest part was getting the two end caps installed but with two people it was very manageable. This took us about 10 hours total to build. Also installing the LED lights under the bench is a tight squeeze. Definitely wash the rocks BEFORE loading them into the heater and do a burn in of the rocks and heater. We noticed a weird taste / smell in the loyly (water) and isolated that out to terrible city water. We use purified water now and the smell / taste completely resolved. I'd give this sauna 5/5 if the control panel and wifi were improved. Structurally, this is a great DIY build and I believe it will last for years. We've used it every day for the last month and have seen improved sleep, reduced stress and overall improved wellbeing. It's become a part of our daily routine. A few things to note: The control panel for this sauna is total crap. The touch screen is barely responsive and almost impossible to see in full day light. The mobile app is the saving grace for this problem, however we had terrible WIFI connection issues that were a pain to trouble shoot. The 2-4 person sauna could fit 4 people, but is best for 2 adults and maybe a small child / teenager. It's been perfect for a couple. Overall, very happy and impressed with this sauna and would highly recommend to friends and family. The price point and value are worth it, it heats up extremely fast and produces a nice even heat, the lighting can be adjusted to your preference and we really enjoy having an outdoor home sauna.

Life changing! Was fairly easy to assemble and the video instruction was helpful. Works amazing, smells amazing, and the heater is fast! Gets up to the temp you put in quickly and accurately. Only a couple of complains. One, the bands to wrap around are difficult to tighten, I know there are better engineered bands out there but the ones they provide are doable just a pain. The control display is difficult to see in the daylight not a big deal. Lastly, I wish the seats were a tad bit higher the temperature difference is notable when your feet higher elevated. But I would and have recommended this sauna.
