Very soft and cozy. Similar to a sleeping bag feel on one side, and a fuzzy blanket on the other. I can't wait to try it out when it gets cold. I will update my review if it does, in fact, turn out to be garbage (like another reviewer indicated), but I'm glad I took a chance and ordered it on sale. Looking carefully at the item I received, I don't see bad stitching, or holes, or anything that would warrant such a statement. Although I guess the black one kinda looks like a garbage bag? It's not overly thick, but I will wear it over layers and I live in the Southern US, so it works for my needs.

Love this thing! Nice and big and the toggles to hold it closed are nice. Also love the detachable hood. I like this one I got for $25 more than my REI one that cost 3x as much.

Bought this blanket for multiple reasons, we take it to the movies and use it by the camp fire, win win usage !
