Purchasing this generator was similar to putting up a magical ward against power failures. Where the original motivation was a frequent number of outages, we’ve not had any single outage since installation. In it’s standby configuration it’s met our expectations.

I purchased this one year ago. It is whole-home capable, completely automatic and easy to monitor with the phone app and the Ecobee thermostat. The generator responds to power loss in seconds. It is very reassuring to know that if our home loses grid power while we are away the app will notify us.

Had this 6 weeks now, just before storm season. Good quality product but difference is the installation by a company that only does generators, not some diversified franchise or one-at-at-a-time electrician. Family run business that concentrates on Generac and installs 5- 7 per week. The price was $2800 less than other vendors and they gave me the confidence of a quality installation and maintenance program.

I have been wanting to purchase a whole home generator for some time. Finally bit the bullet an got a 26KW with transfer switch about a month ago. 2 days ago, 08/13/26, the power died for about 4hours. Unit kicked in flawlessly and handled central AC, stove and package AC unit with ease. I like the fact that natural gas is always ready to go when problems arise. Install was truly professional and exactly as promised. I'm a satisfied customer!

This is our second Generac generator because, after 19 years with our first one, we wanted to upgrade to one with more current features/functions. Our first one was purchased in Sept. 2007. It gave us optimal, quality, and dependable service. It is still working today, in another household, with a family whom we gave it to. We look forward to and are confident that we will have the same level of quality service with our recent new upgraded generator!

4 years after Hurricane Ian it was time to replace a portable 5kw generator with a whole home generator. We will now be able to have the entire house on standby power should another major outage occur. Being familiar with the Generac company based in Wisconsin, this was the only generator considered.

Just completed year two annual maintenance. Generator has activated reliably 5 times over the past two years and powered my home without any issues. Propane usage seems very efficient.

Have had this generator for a year. Had to have a faulty emergency switch replaced (under warranty). I've put about 11 hours on it. It's able to power everything in my 2500 sq/ft house (A/C, Heat, oven, dryer) all appliances with no issues.

I bought this a month ago and it’s still not working properly. It runs for 15 seconds and then shuts off. After five cycles of this it stops altogether. They are still trying to figure out the issue. I am happy to review again once it works properly.

I bought this NextGen 28kW to replace a rusty but reliable 20 year old 35 kW Generac. Our NextGen failed immediately at our first power outage 3 weeks after installation and is still nonfunctional after 3 service trips and more than 4 hours labor over the last week.
