I am genuinely impressed by this display. Great viewing angles and has replaced my 50 inch tv as well that was behind my monitor on the wall. Don't need it anymore this looks better from many feet away with no distortion at all. Would not believe this was a va panel if I didn't already know it was for s fact. Hdmi can't output 5k2k so im at 1440p 21:9 and it looks amazing for 4k hdr content. Productivity is great, text is sharp, just play with the color settings and reduce brightness for better blacks. Love the curve, thought I wanted 1800 or flat, now I definitely know 1000 is the move, kinda want even more of a curve, it's definitely not that prominent, like it's noticable but somehow distorts in your vision less than a flat screen. Hard to explain or photograph, has to be seen in person. Only getting 60 fps til my usb c to display port adapter comes in over hdmi, could lower resolution for 120 over hdmi, but 60 is fine for now. Just a limitation of hdmi 2.0.

I got this monitor last week. it was easy to setup and has a beautiful picture. It default to the maximum 180Hz refresh rate which is a bit fast for my cad/cam and schematic capture work. Videos look excellent on it. It has a picture in a picture capability using two video inputs. The controls and on screen display are easy to use and very explanatory. I changed the brightness to match that of my other monitors and now it just looks amazing. Colors are bright and vivid. Response time is fast. I am an engineer and I complain about everything but this monitor has given me nothing to complain about. This is a great monitor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung Odyssey G7 monitor was a great addition to my PC setup. The monitor had been in use for over a week and I have had a great experience so far. The monitor weighs in on the light end of the spectrum being realtor to its size. The screen has bright color contrast and show the dark depth of what you are viewing. I have used the monitor to complete work tasks and bring able to display multiples programs at once with the screen space was monumental. When watching movies the refresh rate eliminated any lag in resources so the entire movie was pleasing. The only cons I have with the monitor is the actual size. The monitor was bulkier than I expected. To play sound you will need to add an external speaker setup. The setup however was fairly simple with only 3 attachments which was point and click. I would recommend this monitor to my closest friends.

The 1000R curve is a true wrap around immersion which is awesome. The 165Hz refresh + VRR support, the deep contrast and vibrant colors is amazing to see on the monitor, the design with customizable back glow is really cool. Some things I will note as well is that the HDR doesn’t have the big wow factor as some of the higher end panels, and the curve takes a little adjusting for some tasks but once you start gaming on it, it’s pretty elite and definitely built for gamers who want more of the bolder visuals. I would say it’s a perfect gift for the gamers in your life and for your your own self enjoyment!

I had a 28” previously, but this is just massive in comparison, especially with the curved screen. This is also my first time with Free Sync. I was so over the screen tearing and choppiness, so this is a really good solution. Overall this is so cool and gorgeous to look at

The wide curved screen gives me plenty of room to keep multiple windows open side by side, which makes multitasking so much easier. Text looks crisp, colors are vibrant, and the smooth refresh rate makes everything feel effortless when I’m switching between tasks. The curve also makes a real difference for my eyes since I don’t have to shift focus as much across the screen, which has helped reduce eye strain during long hours. Even though the stand takes up some space, the overall experience easily outweighs that. For productivity and daily use, this monitor has been perfect.

I like this thing, but I don't like the fact that the panel is edgelit. It does at least actively dim unlit columns. One other thing I like about this thing is the size and curve. It is even more immersive than ever, and I don't regret choosing a big 16:9 display instead of an ultrawide. The colors in various test footages have been good as well. Overall: Decent monitor, but edge-lit displays really shouldn't be made in 2025. Especially for this price.
