We are in our third 2.0 ice maker and they make an awful “LOUD!!!” Noise that it forces us to get up out of bed to turn it off. I used the App this time but I'm half asleep trying to Find the app I need to turn the thing off so it's no better than getting up to do it. Super disappointed that GE has done NOTHING to fix this problem.

I am so happy with my new ice maker. So far it has been the best buy. Its fairly quiet with the occasional noise here and there. It makes ice pretty fast and the ice is perfect shape and easy on the teeth. Setting up is a snap! Wifi setup was easy. The side tank is a great addition as it holds quite a bit of water and makes ice constantly. I havent shut it off since purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Started off good... 16 months later it started squealing as it made ice. Now at 18 months we woke up to water all over the counter. Thought maybe there was an issue with the hose but when I leaned it back over the sink to get the rest of the water out I watched water leak out of the body of the ice maker. Also the water tank design is poor, we only run filtered water in it and it always has deposits in the tank when cleaning and you have the smallest opening to try and clean it out.

I don't write reviews often, but after purchasing more than 3 of these Opal ice machines and always having the same squealing issues I would give this product a zero if possible. I purchased a water distilled just for this machine thinking maybe it's our water, but the squeaking always occurs after the 1 year warranty is up. I would highly recommend looking at a different ice machine!

My last one lasted two years, I hope this is an improvement and will last longer. Got a four year warranty.

It was a great add to our home . Easy set up. Followed YouTube for cleanup and ensamble. Family love it and it works good.

Had to replace our old one. Our refrigerator does not have an ice maker but this ice is SO MUCH BETTER!

Very awesome nugget ice maker! Expensive investment, but well worth it! Wife loves it and that's what matters.

Best so far of ice maker it makes alit of ice , it holds water you don't need to refill it that often I love
