Great gadget for home, the taste of the ice nuggets is fantastic, made every drink is just the perfect temperature, especially for a hot summer season, I am still figuring out how to get the max out of the wifi and remote setup configuration, but once there this will be just a perfect solution, good job here GE!

I love this ice! It’s great! It makes ice very fast! There are a couple of things I would change but they would not keep me from purchasing it! Would like for it to be easier to Refill or would like to connect to water supply. Also needs To be a drip less basket when you open for ice. Minor details.

I mean, what can I say, an at home ice maker that makes the “good ice”, what’s not to love. Pros: makes ice much faster than I was anticipating and the extra side water container is great! Minor con: it’s admittedly larger/heavier than I was anticipating (although that’s my fault for not reading the description carefully). It ended up in our basement (wanted it in our bar area), but we’re still super happy with this purchase!

Not only does this appliance look great, it works great as well. This makes the perfect ice to satisfy all your drinking needs. It's easy to use and install. Comes with an excellent user guide, which provides good clear instructions for everything. It's quite attractive with the clear plastic and brushed stainless steel, it fits right in with all my other appliances. It's much quieter than expected with just barely an audible hum during operation. This is a rather large (and heavy) ice maker but it fit perfectly fine underneath my cabinets. This unit is not refrigerated, so as ice collects into the bin it will slowly melt, however the water gets recycled back into the machine and will be reused to make more ice. My only complaint is how long it takes to complete an ice making cycle, it takes literally hours for it to fill the bin with ice. Not a big issue but you definitely need to plan ahead if you're going to need ice, however if you dump the ice into a bag occasionally and freeze it you'll always have ice on-hand.

The ice maker itself works well and produces good quality of ice. It is pretty loud when making ice (louder than any other appliance in the kitchen). The scheduling function on the app does not work at all. Not the end of the world but you expect those features to work as advertised. Will not buy other “smart” ge appliances as I assume this is a common failure.

This truly makes the perfect place! I love the timer but I can set so that I can have ice ready for myself before I wake up and just before I get home from work. It never sticks together, and it’s quick to make ice. My husband thought it was overpriced until he started using it. He now agrees with me that it’s worth every penny. The online app to control it needs to be improved, but the overall device is absolutely wonderful!

This is a great ice maker. I tried its competitors, but this ice maker is by far the best one. It feels much better built than others and is a solid choice. Only thing I don’t like is the color. When I got this one I didn’t know it came in other colors.

Bought one for work without the side water feeder and everyone loved it. We love the Sonic style ice nuggets and have wanted that at home like forever. Freezer ice always tastes bad no mater what you do to try and improve it. We have no issues with the sound, it’s quieter than or refrigerator ice maker, even quieter than our silent dishwasher. Glad we added the side water tank, we fill it from a triple filter r/o water that sits under the sink so it rarely needs cleaning and the ice is a hit with everyone. I should have bought it years ago. Maybe a luxury item but we deserve a little luxury every now and then.

The machine makes the small, soft ice pieces ("nuggets") that I find to be excellent for all of my iced drinks. The ice texture is excellent for folks like me who occasionally enjoy chewing the ice in their drinks. The size of the ice bin and production rate works well for our household of two; however, it may not be able to keep up with the demands of a dinner party or barbeque when several couples are using the ice. Also, the cleaning process is a bit of a process - too bad that couldn't be automated like high end European coffee machines are designed. Overall, I think the machine has been a good addition to our butler pantry.

I was excited to use this item. It worked great for about 4 weeks. Soon after it started making an awful noise. I did the suggested descaling and cleaning at about week three. at about 4 weeks, it started making an awful noise. After researching how to remedy, I discovered hundreds of other reviews of people having the same issues. I didn't want to deal with it long term so I returned the machine. This was the top rated ice maker on Consumer Reports but I'm not sure why with so many people having issues with them.
