Keeps saying add water when there is plenty of water in both tanks, so stops making ice. This has been going on for two after I bought it. I keep unplugging it then unplugging it back in and will work for a few hours or days then the add water light comes back on, yet there is plenty of water. I won't buy another product from them.

It works well and was simple to set up and the ice is amazing, only problem is the cleaning. When researching the product I read it would need to be cleaned every 3-4 weeks. After one week the app said the machine needed to be cleaned. For reference, I only put pre filtered water into my opal and it still requires weekly cleanings.

This version and app better then the 1st Opal hunk o junk. We found when powering the unit on there was some thin blue plastic bag type material floating on the inside causing noise. I was able to pull out the plastic with some tweezers from the side. You buy American you get these kinds of quality issues. It does make ice and runs better than v1 opal. Not sure I'd recommend it

I wanted a nugget ice maker and saw this model. It does exactly what it says, makes great nugget ice. I leave it on all the time and so far no issues. It is a little louder than a regular ice maker because of how it makes the ice but have it on a laundry room counter so its not an issue for me. Love the side tank so I don't have to constantly add water. Really like this ice maker so far

I had the original version of this ice maker a couple of years ago. It started to make a noise that I didn't like and I decided to take it apart. Long story short, it was never the same after that. I have missed this ice around the house since then, so I bought the 2.0 version and I couldn't be happier. It's quiet, stylish, makes great ice, and the addition of the side tank is a great bonus.

I have been looking forward to my Opal purchase for a long while and finally bit the bullet a few weeks ago. My husband and I spent about 2 hours unboxing, setting up and cleaning before our first use. It was not a hard process, just a bit tedious. I love the ice and using it to fill my water cup every morning and night. My husband likes it, but doesn't love it for mixed drinks as it does melt quickly. It is so nice looking and fits under our cabinets well. I'm definitely thankful we went for the upgraded side tank version. We only need to refill every few days or so. This is best for a small family and not large gatherings. I easily use half of the ice on a morning that I fill my large water cup and make iced coffee.

This ice maker is very efficient, puts out a great amount of ice, and is exactly the nugget ice we were looking for! Runs quieter than all 3 previous countertop ice makers we’ve owned. I wouldn’t sell it if some offered me twice what I paid for it.

There is no comparison in nugget ice makers. The Opal is the highest quality and well designed countertop ice maker money can buy. If you are serious about "the good ice" or make drinks at home, the Opal will pay for itself and bring a little bit of joy to your life.

I love what I call sonic ice. My husband really loved sonic ice. I was going to buy the icemaker for him for Christmas 2022. But he got sick in Jan. 2022 and passed away 1 year ago today. So I really bought it as a bucket list for my husband. Everytime I use it , It brings him to my mind and heart.So I love the ice machine.

This ice is the best! A couple things I wish were different are how often it needs cleaned- the ice starts tasting funny after a few days and the machine needs cleaned... didn’t expect it to be this often and it’s a little bit of a process to clean it. Also the hq app constantly says no internet when I have full internet- so I have to close out and try again just to chance one thing on a schedule, and often times even closing out of it, it does the same thing- it’s super frustrating! Am I glad I have it? Yes. Would I spend this amount on it knowing what I know now? No!
