My friend has one and seems to love it. Said he had one and didn't use distilled water and it went bad but he liked it so much he got another one. I've had problems with two previous under the counter ice makers from GE UPN15 models, not too impressed so giving this one a chance. Going to be using only distilled water! Will be back after 30 days to review this one.

There is nothing NOT to LOVE about this appliance - NUGGET ICE in our HOME! No more driving to Sonic and buying their ice!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I highly recommend purchasing the one with the additional reservoir so you do not have to worry about filling it frequently!

The product is great! It makes fantastic ice fairly quickly. It doesn't take up a lot of counter space. It makes 24lbs of ice a day (1lb per hour), but only holds 3lbs of ice which is WAY too small. It needs a hopper to hold the 24lbs. If you did that and kept the price point where it is, you would kill the competition with volume. Still within my window of returning and have not decided yet.

By far the best nugget ice maker I have tried. It is the quietest machine yet. Definitely get the optional water container. It has three light settings that make for a great nightlight. Makes ice quickly. I am so glad I spent the extra money for this machine.

i think this ice maker is pretty great overall everything works fine all the features are great it makes a lot of ice it's very quiet and you know it's pretty good the only downsides are one how large it is in my opinion i just feel like for how expensive it is it should be so much smaller and obviously the other downside is the giant price i feel it's pretty ridiculous how expensive it is and it's very hard to justify and still is for us but honestly if you have the moeny and want to splurge go ahead but if u don't have the money than just buy something else that's just my opinion

This is not just an ice maker, but the perfect ice maker. Small, soft chewable pellets that are made as fast as you can use them. I have never been able to make ice as fast as my family can use it and now I can. Not cheap and a bit bulky on the counter.... but it's all worth it!

We love the ice but it is very noise sounds like loose parts internal that are vibrating during ice making cycle. When it first starts to make ice it flushes the system with water but the water drains into the ice hopper melting the already made ice down rather quickly against the back of the hopper. Since the hopper is not refrigerated all the ice you can have matters .

Ice maker is working fine. I have not had any issues with its ice production since 3/27/2022. Now, the issue I am having is with the removable ice bin. Water gets between the two layers of plastic at the front of the ice bin and you cant get it out. You can see the soapy water in the images I have included in this review. I will be contacting GE and telling them they need to send me a replacement ice bin. An ice maker having WiFi is a stupid idea. There is zero benefit to having this. The WiFi also forgets all your network information if you turn it off and then on again. Have to do the setup again. I will never enable WiFi again on this. It it pointless. Instead of including WiFi, engineering time and effort should have been put into a cleaning reminder on the front panel display.

Really impressed with this unit so far! Makes ice incredibly quick, set up is very user friendly. Ice is delicious, machine is very quiet, pretty awesome. Prob only complaint was getting connected to the WIFI was a pain, but honestly it just helps control the light or schedule if you want to have it turn off and on. Being in AZ, we will probably just have it run 24/7. Go for it!

Greatest kitchen appliance we've ever bought. We love the soft pelleted ice and use it daily on a regular basis. It is not bad to clean, worth the 30 minutes once every week or two for the enjoyment of the product. My husband loves ice and his dentist is happier for the soft pellets.
