Purchased one for our school workroom last year and it has been awesome. So I decided this year I needed one at my house. I'm definitely drinking more water since I've added this to my kitchen.

The icemaker itself is a really good unit it's a tad loud but not too bad but the only negative review I have is that it requires a cleaning once a week.

The ice maker is super efficient, and fairly quiet (as loud as a super efficient dishwasher when running). It is very compact and easy to use. I only use purified water in it to make ice to avoid descaling every two weeks, and it runs great.

This ice maker makes the best ice! This ice maker so far is an improvement over the previous model b/c it has not started having mildew in the ice yet and we have had it set up for approximately 3 months.

Received this ice maker for Christmas from my daughters. Best gift ever!! I'm an ice chewer and have bought Sonic ice for a long time. Now I make it in my home! So glad my girls love their Mama!!

I loved it when we got it …. But 2 months in and it stopped working! Hoping customer service and the warranty pulls through - we really want to enjoy it again!

The warranty runs out after a year, and no matter what I did to de-scale and try to keep clean. The machine eventually broke down. It's a great product initially, but there is no way to keep it fully operational.

Set up was easy, started making ice in 15 minutes, quick response. This is the second Opal Ice Maker I buy and I am truly satisfied. We use lots of ice so having two (2) Ice Makers was the excellent choice for us.

I love my ice maker, I bought it as a gift to myself. I do think it's a bit pricey but after owning it I'm content with that. The only thing I'm not sure about is the motor will sometimes sound like it's humming. Not sure if that is normal.
