The 2.0 is a Must!

I had the original Opal machine, used it for 3 years loved it but I needed more ice so I upgraded to the 2.0 and OMG I can’t believe that it has exceeded my expectations. The water seems to last forever so it can keep making ice, love it!!

Great ice

I’ve only had this for a week. I’ve always enjoyed the nugget ice and this ice maker has pretty good reviews. Nice design, easy set up, easy to clean, and is quiet. It has a nice light with 2 settings and the side tank helps to keep it full.

Broke too soon

We had the ice maker for 2 weeks when it started to make horrible noises and quit making ice. Currently waiting on opal support to help rectify the situation.

Terrific Ice Maker

This is so terrific, enjoying my ice. This is the best product ever! Have been using it for the holidays and makes ice like you can't believe - this is a definite product for anyone looking for this great ice!!

Love the nuggets, maintenance is a bit more than e

We are loving the chewy ice. We live in a city with hard water so we have tried to use purified or distilled water whenever possible to minimize the frequency of cleanings which can be once every week or more depending upon how much we use it.

Best gift ever!

My husband got me the nugget ice maker for Christmas 2022. This is now a new “staple” in our home. Friends ask us to bring the “good ice” when we visit. It’s easy to use and works fast.

Great Ice

Found a residential ice maker that makes softer pellets that are easy to chew. Easy to fill water tank lasts several days during lots of use. Would buy again, and recommend to others.

Doesn’t last long

I have purchased TWO. I thought it was my fault that the first one quit working due to using well water. Only used bottled water on 2nd one. It lasted 7 months. Never could get anyone af customer service. Terrible quality for such a high price.

Great ice maker

Works great. We have ice anytime We schedule it on at 6am and off at 7pm(unless we have a scheduled event. Perfect size ice for any drinks. Holds a good capacity of ice.

Great Ice Maker!

For the last 13 years, we had a built in ice maker that we loved. We recently moved and wanted another ice maker and decided to try the GE Opal. We love it!! We also bought one for our son who said this is the best gift!
