This unit works way better than the 1.0 version. The last one was extremely noisy and had so many issues. We now only use distilled water and haven't had any issues other that air bubbles in the line after water gets too low. We use a turkey baster syringe-filled with water and shoot into the fill hole. Works amazing and don't know what we would do without it. Our Profile fridge has an extremely small ice bin so we use to run out like crazy.

My wife loves this thing. If she could dump me for this thing she would. She trenderly feeds it filtered water and then consumes ice water all day every day. I set it up in the app to create ICE in the morning before she wakes up and to turn off at night. The only time I find it empty is when we have guests over. Installation was super simple. It takes up a ton of space on the countertop but it is well worth the sacrifice. One thing to note is that if it runs extremely low on water it can make enough noise to be distracting.

The instructions are very helpful and detailed enough for a smooth and easy setup. The ice machine is has a comfortable sound level to where you forget that it's on until you either look at and see the light on or you hear the ice drop. It makes the nugget ice as you expect, it was easy to download the app to control by phone and the side tank is easy to take off to refill and put back on. The side tank holder works perfectly on attaching to the ice maker. The ice maker fits comfortably under your average sized space under cabinets in an older home like mine. You'll have maybe less than an inch left of space under the cabinet once you push the ice machine under the cabinet and that's with the tank attached. The machine can hold a large amount of ice in the bin and keep it frozen until used as long as you keep the machine turned on. My family and I are really happy with it. I love the black stainless, it looks Sooo Goooood!

When we received our profile opal 2.0 it was very easy to assemble and to clean! The machine is very appealing with the way that it has been designed and the light is very helpful when we use it in the later hours of the day! The ice is perfect for chewing and for chilling drinks! We add the ice to our water bottles and it lasts for many hours. It makes ice quickly and quietly! We really like the machine and all of its abilities! Its size allows it to fit well in our kitchen and we have a large family and it is able to keep up with our use! GE did a wonderful job producing the machine!

We have been using the Opal nugget ice maker for years, and it has been great so far. The ice it creates is excellent and cannot be improved upon. The machine operates quietly. The size is great. The only issue we had was with Wi-Fi connectivity, but support was able to assist us with that. We recently upgraded the water tank capacity, and it was the best decision, as we now have to refill the tank less frequently. Overall, the installation is simple, and if you want a lot of ice, then this product is for you.

I'm really enjoying my new ice maker. It makes ice fairly quickly and remains frozen for a good amount of time. its compact shape fits perfectly next to my fridge. The noise is minimal which is great for my dogs. My previous ice maker was too loud and would drive my animals crazy. Thanks GE for a great ice maker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really hoping for faster ice production with the cost of this machine. I'm on day two with the machine and it's slightly better than the first day. I do love the ice though, the size is perfect and great for iced coffee!

I love this product. It fits so much ice in it and it was super easy to install. It is a little loud when making the ice, but it's not bad enough to disturb anyone. It's pretty big, and a little bit heavy, but it's definitely manageable. It's super easy to use since it connects to my phone, and it's been a fantastic addition to my college apartment.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the ice and the fact that it is able to keep ice on its own, without having to put it in the freezer once made. However the sounds it makes is crazy. This is our second one after our first one stop working after a little over a year. This one makes some crazy loud grinding noises that cannot be a good thing and I am afraid that this one will break down soon.

I use my GE Opal Nugget Ice Maker every single day, and it's been one of my favorite kitchen additions.
