I recently purchased the GE Profile™ Opal™ 2.0 Nugget Ice Maker with Side Tank, and I'm very impressed with its performance. The installation was straightforward, and the machine was up and running quickly. The capacity of the side tank allows it to produce a generous amount of ice without frequent refilling. I also appreciate that, despite its production power, the unit operates with minimal noise, making it suitable for use in our kitchen without being disruptive. Finally, the compact size fits perfectly on our countertop while still delivering plenty of that soft, chewable nugget ice we love.

I am so happy I bought this ice maker. I did my research before buy. And I am glad I spent the money. It really helps me out a lot. The ice is always good, not half melted and helps me with my illness. I was a little hesitant because of price but, it was worth every penny. Thanks for making my life easier.

I love this product. It fits so much ice in it and it was super easy to install. It is a little loud when making the ice, but it's not bad enough to disturb anyone. It's pretty big, and a little bit heavy, but it's definitely manageable. It's super easy to use since it connects to my phone, and it's been a fantastic addition to my college apartment.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the ice and the fact that it is able to keep ice on its own, without having to put it in the freezer once made. However the sounds it makes is crazy. This is our second one after our first one stop working after a little over a year. This one makes some crazy loud grinding noises that cannot be a good thing and I am afraid that this one will break down soon.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the final product I get from my GE Opal Nugget Ice Maker. Two things I do not love is the noises that it makes and how often it has to be cleaned. But, I would buy it again despite those two things.

I have two of these one in my home in Florida and one at my home in Utah. I will say the one in Utah works better because I use reverse osmosis water in it. My Florida home has water delivery so I use bottled water but it is not a clean as the RO water. I get more scale and have to clean and descale more often on the unit in Florida. Overall I love these ice makers and will always have one no matter where I live.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just recently purchased the Opel 2.0 icemaker and I absolutely love it. It's very quiet. It makes great ice and I fill it up maybe once a week with distilled water and when I say the family love it, its awesome. No more running to the local gas station for crunchy ice. You have got to get you one.

I've been contemplating this product for a long time and am SO happy with it now that I finally have one! The only downside is it gets quite warm on the back side so I worry about it overheating next to the wall. Definitely makes me drink more water!

Love the ice it makes however, the amount of consistent taking apart, cleaning for almost 2 days & the noise it makes, it's a question on whether I'd pay this much again. The capacity is good, the installation is medium in effort & the size is about right for what it's production of ice.

This product is a very expensive dud. I have followed every instruction to clean. It continually defrosts after making a handful of ice. Sometimes it will work perfectly for a few hours. The online complaints are crazy. I bought because a friend has it and hers works OK. Get a cheap one because it will outcast the opal 2.0. Shame on GE for this product.
