Getting started

Fairly easy to get started and setup. Instruction are little vague but able to manage through. Starting making ice with 30 minutes or so. Very nice looking machine.

countertop ice maker

The unit started up with no issues and has preformed well. It provides plenty of ice and does not seem to have any issues. It is bigger than I expected as we do use the side tank.

Great chewable ice made easy!

Easy installation and makes ice quickly. The ice does not freeze into clumps but stays fresh and loose whether icemaker is on or off. We do not find the machine noisy.

Easy to maintain

We Love our new nugget ice maker! Easy to install, easy to maintain. Highly recommend this machine to anybody! Being a clean freak I love the easy clean methods very user freindly!

Love this ice maker!

A family had this same machine and I was always stealing ice from their house. Now I have my own and feel like I’m even drinking more ice water now! Lol

Problem already

Every time it starts to make another batch of ice, water pours in from the top of the bin which starts to melt the ice already produced. Just got it today. Not sure what is wrong!

This is normal operation for this nugget ice maker. Water continually flows during the initial startup of the machine before ice production begins or any time after a defrost cycle is completed before ice production resumes. This water flows from the top back inside the cavity into the bin and along the back wall of the inside. Water will also flow if the unit is undergoing a clean cycle to remove mineral buildup or to sanitize.

It’s awesome! But…

We love the are new nugget ice maker we use it everyday! It looks super nice and makes great ice! But it started leaking water under it almost every day… If it did not leak we would recommend this to everyone.

During normal operation, condensation forms on the bottom surface of the ice bin. This water will sometimes collect and drip down the lower front surfaces of the ice maker. The included drip tray can be installed in front of the Opal to collect this water. Bad out of the box

The unit was bad out of the box. It sounded like a chainsaw and absolutely that loud could hear it across the house and it didn't make ice send it back.

Great ice maker

I just set up my new ice maker yesterday. So far I love it. It is sooo quiet. The ice is a perfect size for drinks and for chewing. The machine, so far, seems to make ice quickly.

EASY INSTALL

JUST PURCHASED AND INSTALLED THE GE PROFILE OPAL NUGGET COUNTERTOP ICE MAKER. I WAS IMPRESSED WITH THE EASE OF INSTALLATION AND HOW QUICK ICE BEGAN TO BE PRODUCED. IT HAS BEEN A GREAT ADDITION TO MY HOME APPLIANCES.
