I wanted this product to work

It lasted 1 month and then it defaults to the defrost stage. It’s stuck there. I am no longer within my return window at Crate and Barrel so I just started the exchange process through GE. What a disappointment.

Great little ice machine

Runs smoothly. Occasionally you’ll hear some noise but not often. Definitely purchase the extra side water unit, makes filling the unit so much easier. Fits nicely on a countertop. Profile is low enough to sit under cabinets

Cleaning

The ice maker is great in concept size and quality, but having to clean the system monthly at a minimum is a pain. I’ve never had an issue with a built in refrigerator ice maker. The cleaning issue is the sensors. I’m not sure I would buy again

We love the ice... we don't like the noise..

We love the ice this machine makes and the overall taste is great. The machine started to make a cat crying type of sound a week after starting to use it. It hasn't interfered with the ice-making or how much we like it but it can be annoying.

I love this icemaker!

The Opal 2.0 is my favorite household appliance. Makes perfect nugget ice for my tasty beverages. I love that I can program it to have ice made when I wake up and when I get home from work. It really is the perfect machine!

Amazing ice maker

I returned three other icemakers and then bought this one it is extremely simple to operate I also have it connected to my phone it makes excellent crunch ice and it is also very quiet

We love our ice maker

We love our ice maker, the only issue we have had is the noise it was making that did get loud at times but I took the back panel off and greased the motor and no sound issues, very convenient to have "the good ice" ready for a cold drink.

The Best Ic

Problem already

Every time it starts to make another batch of ice, water pours in from the top of the bin which starts to melt the ice already produced. Just got it today. Not sure what is wrong!

This is normal operation for this nugget ice maker. Water continually flows during the initial startup of the machine before ice production begins or any time after a defrost cycle is completed before ice production resumes. This water flows from the top back inside the cavity into the bin and along the back wall of the inside. Water will also flow if the unit is undergoing a clean cycle to remove mineral buildup or to sanitize.
