Perfect ice

We were apprehensive about the price and reviews but the ice maker is exactly what we hoped for. Works perfectly and delivers the ice we hoped for. We were concerned about noise but we don't find the noise is extraordinary

Worth Every Penny

This product has been on my wish list for a long time and I am so glad I finally made the purchase. The ice is perfect and has been a game changer in my house. You are missing out if you don’t have one. It’s worth the investment

Promising, but dead

Worked really well for a while then turned itself into defrost mode and has never come back to normal. I tried unplugging it and all that but it seems to be dead in the water. I had the unit for less than a year.

Ice is great!

Set up is a little long, but not bad. Only negative is that the machine says “add water” often even though I have the side tank. Other than that, the ice is great, and my family loves it.

So sorry that the setup took a little long, but we're sure happy to hear that it wasn't a bad experience overall. If the machine is telling you to add water even though the side tank is full, it's possible that the hoses aren't properly installed. Check out pages 3 and 4 of the Installation Instructions to make sure: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-1000499-2.pdf&_ga=2.121616769.823685366.1646061172-1156894598.1645713472. We also recommend resetting your icemaker by disconnecting power from the unit for 2 to 3 minutes and reconnecting power. Don't Buy

This is my second ice maker and after warranty is up started making loud noise and would not make ice. Called and they could not do anything because the warranty was up. Don't buy!

We recommend trying to reset your icemaker by unplugging the power cord for 3-4 hours, then plugging it back in. We also recommend cleaning the whole unit, including the bin and tray. This can help with the sounds as well. Good fast ice

Easy to set up, fast producing fun little ice has been given the nickname “Angel Ice” by guests. There are pictures in the product description of three ice types, but the machine only makes one of those.

Short lifespan, poor warranty

I am sad to say after 18 months my ice maker is no longer cold and no longer under warranty. It was great while it lasted but too expensive to have to buy a new one each year.

Amazing Ice

My husband and I love this ice maker! The first batch of ice takes a bit to fill the bin. After that it keeps up nicely at cocktail time. I suggest buying the side tank with the machine. It’s worth it! 😎

Great appliance

Easy to use. Steady production of soft, chewable ice. I generally fill the side tank once a day. Two adults in the household and we've not run out of ice - steady ice production, if you take out ice it starts making ice to replenish.

Finally Chic fil a ice at home!

I was so excited to find the ice maker that made nugget ice! The Opal 2.0 did not disappoint!! It is so easy to set up and use and the ice is incredible!! Best purchase I’ve made this year!
