The only reason it’s not a full 5 is because I had no clue what the maintenance would be like for this machine. Cleaning it can be a hassle and it’s very heavy. Other than that, we are super happy with the ice machine.

We’ve only been using our new ice machine for a week now, but we love it! It’s definitely not the softest ice like I thought it would be, but it’s nugget ice and it works fairly quick!

This is our second Opal nugget ice maker and I’ve learned so much from the first one. I’m definitely going to treat this one differently by using only distilled water because if you don’t do that your going to end up like me buying a new one!

I love to eat the ice and this machine makes the best ice for my drinks. I like to put the ice in the freezer and make more so I will have a bunch of ice on hand for events or for when a lot of family members stop by.

I love my ice machine. I’ve been wanting this for awhile. Wasn’t sure if I should buy or not because of some negative reviews regarding sound. The sound is not bad! Would recommend this product!

I had the older Opel version before GE took the product over. So far this 2.0 version from GE is much quieter and needs less input with the extra tank.

I have had the ice maker for a few weeks and it is awesome. The only down side is we use it so match we have to fill up the water side tank almost daily.

It really makes the best ice! I have been an RN for 10+ years and it is the ice we have in the hospital that we all call "the best ice". This is even better because it has it's own filter and you can use whatever water you would like! AMAZING!!!

So far we are loving this ice machine. The extra water tank on the side is wonderful. No more adding water every day. The ice is the perfect size and doesn't melt very fast in the maker.

Such an easy set up. After cleaning, the unit only required to hook up the hose, add water, plug it in and push the power button. We had ice nuggets in an hour!
