This machine makes great ice, but at the cost of your hearing (and sanity). machine started defrosting on the 1st cycle and says needs cleaning every other cycle, even though we use purified / distilled water. Btw, when the ice machine starts howling, better run. And don't unplug it as you'll lose the wifi setup and re-connection is a pain.

This appliance is awesome! We replaced our rarely-used mixer with this countertop nugget ice machine that we literally use all day, every day. Everyone in our family likes to chew ice and this is a game changer. The texture and quality of the ice is perfect. It makes ice faster than I expected it to. The side tank capacity is large which means you have to refill it less often. I also like how this version is WiFi-enabled which allowed me to tie it in to my Google Home routines so the light goes off at night and comes back on in the morning. There are some other basic functions in the app that are useful. All in all, we love this thing and will be recommending to anyone who will listen!

What can I say hands down to this perfect ice maker machine. I Love everything about it from the little light on there to constance fresh batches of ice being made every time some is taken out and it comes with an ice scoop. You won't regret your purchase. It's worth the price to me :)

This was a Christmas gift to my husband but everybody who comes over prefers the nugget ice to the larger cubes out of the freezer. It fits perfectly under the upper cabinets without hitting anything. The side reservoir is easily accessible for refilling. The only downside to it is the noise. It is louder than our full size side by side refrigerator with a built in ice maker. Other than the noise, it has been great.

The quality is poor. I've had it no more than 1 month and the defrost constantly comes on after only 2 drops of ice. I've descaled it and even bought the descale solution and to no avail. Terrible machine. It was a gift so I don't have the receipt for an exchange not knowing where they bought it.

The icemaker was easy to set up. It keeps ice cold, which was the key issue we had with a competing brand. The ice tastes great. I use bottled water to not have to deal with cleaning as often. I have not cleaned the unit yet. So I have not comments on that process. It has acted like it was in the cleaning process and it stayed stuck in that. I had to unplug the unit to get it out of this setting. So I have a small level of concern about the unite. This is the only reason I have given it a good rating. Otherwise, it would be excellent. We are very happy with the product at the moment.

This was a Christmas gift for my wife because she would have me go to the store to get a cup of the “good ice” often. We are both happy with our new GE Profile Opal 2.0 Ice-Maker with extra Easy-Fill Water Tank . Definitely recommend the water tank. We now don't need to waste fuel or time driving to the store for nugget ice. It was easy to set up. You can hear it running in our small kitchen however it's not annoyingly loud just a gentle hum. We purchased the water filter too which is a nice option feature. Have been using it constantly for a month now without any issues. When setting it up just follow the instructions. We live in an area with hard water so we follow the descaling recommendation of every 2-3 weeks. Working virtually from home I find that I am drinking more water more often with the good ice even though it's winter here because it's so much more refreshing with this ice. This unit is on the expensive side however it's been a good investment so far. We've had a few parties and our guests enjoy the ice too. More time is needed to know how durable it will be. After a year it would be good to give another review.

My husband purchased this opal ice maker new for me for our 30th Anniversary. I wanted to wait to write a review to give time for an honest opinion. I love it!!! It's awesome. It is well worth the money. While my daughter was pregnant , I would make several trips To her house to deliver special ice. Thank you GE Opal for an awesome well invested purchase.

I bought this about a month ago because I was tired of buying bags of ice from the grocery store. I wasn't sure how good this icemaker really would be, but I am pleasantly surprised! It has surpassed my expectations, and I highly recommend this! The small nugget ice is wonderful. And this machine is a little workhorse! I use it daily and absolutely love it.

I love ice!!! And the nuggets are so satisfying to chew on. I would make my husband and daughter pick up bags of ice every 2-3 days, and it would take up so much freezer space. I must say I'm so glad I got this bundle of joy.!!! Only thing I wish I did was purchase the one that has a tank on the side but it's a bite much having to pull the whole tray out just to refill the tank with water. But I'm still satisfied. It doesn't take long at all to fill up the tray with ice at all.
