My wife and I received this as a Christmas present from our children. It is a great present. My wife loves it so much, if she had to choose between me or the ice maker, I think I would be out the door. She loves the small crunchy pellet sized ice, and the continuous availability of it. And I very much enjoy it, also.

I absolutely love my machine! It does make some noise but typically I can't hear it over the tv so it doesn't bother me at all. Does exactly what I need it to and love the fact I can set times for it to turn on and turn off so I'm not wasting power. Price point was more than I wanted to pay but for the quality and the amount of use it gets I'm okay.

I am astonished at the volume and quality of the ice that this puppy makes! It's not for a person who just wants to plug and play— my guess is that the nugget ice machine isn't there yet, at least not the home version at a reasonable price. This guy needs frequently filled manually, and regularly sanitized and descaled. But great ice requires a great commitment and this bad boy is worth it!

I saw this at a department store when I purchased a new recliner. I was so excited. I've been wanting an ice maker but had never seen one that is a counter top like this one. I only new about the larger industrial size. I've been going to the convenience store for years and filling up 44 oz cups with ice. Don't care for bagged ice. So excited I don't have to do that any more. Ice nuggets are smaller, but that's ok. Would totally recommend!!

We absolutely love this icemaker! The ice is amazing, the set up was very simple, and it works better than expected. We love the app that makes it very easy to program the machine to produce ice when we are most likely to need it. Very nice addition to our kitchen appliances.

Love our new GE Opal 2.0 Ice Maker! It's a workhorse but is so quiet you won't notice it's running. I love the adjustable lighting option and that the controls have minimal lighting too. It's a sleek design that looks nice on our counter. It's fantastic that it doesn't need its own water supply, giving us more options for placement in our home - such a plus! And the ice - so, so good! We love having this soft ice available all the time. My only warning is be careful when cleaning it not to submerge the bin as water will get into the double-walled front. I think the instructions could have been more clear on this point, but we were able to remedy the issue by removing the handle to drain as much water as possible, let it dry and then replace the handle. Overall, don't hesitate to purchase this ice maker!

I've had the ice maker for a week and I love it! It's been working great so far and it not to loud. Makes soft, chewable ice. Even though it doesn't have a way to keep the ice cold, if you make a full batch, it still last all day. It's also pretty easy to clean.

I have wanted to purchase a pellet ice machine every since I saw one at a home that I was selling. She loved her ice machine & I had ice envy! So fast fwd a few years. I bought myself one since my husband couldn't get my slap in the face hints. At least a pricey ice machine didn't bother him either. Nobody else in my house likes the ice because they think it waters down the drink quickly. But I love this machine & it's been a year since purchasing it. I even took it on vacation!

I had the first ice maker made by Opal and I am a huge fan of pellet ice! This runs like a champ and if you are a sonic ice lover this is a must have! I will say the original one I had was quieter so plan for that is placing it. All in all though many features are improved. Holds less water so filling up every 2 days can be a pain. I say buy it though, you will not regret it!

I had a small, portable ice maker for eversl years. It finally stopped working. I had researched this model some time ago but the reviews were not very good. However, GE updated it recently and the reviews were great. I'm not sorry I bought this model. Lovely aesthetically, black SS to match my other appliances and makes loads of crunchable ice, just the way my husband likes it! This ice machine is perfect!
