Love this machine! On hot summers we enjoy slushies or cold lemonade. And it even came in handy when I had knee surgery. The only downfall is the hard water calcium build up even with using filters causes mechanical issues. We are on our second one and it's definitely worth buying extended warranty when you purchase your machine. I got my first ice machine over 2 years ago and convinced my aunt to get one too, we both love them!

I purchased the Ice Maker from amazing. I was super excited when it came in. After seeing some reviews on Facebook I became concerned because of all the bad experiences people were talking about. So far I have not have any issues. I was supposed it asked to descale so soon after purchase but overall I am excited to see how long it works. Depending how long it last I would purchase it again. I love the app feature because I can see if the ice maker needs attention. Overall I would recommend trying out this ice maker if you have the extra money or want the convenience of having an app.

We love our ice maker. I debated this purchase due to the price for months…maybe even a year. I saved up and am not at all disappointed with my purchase. Helps me Drink more water also saves me from having to use our ice maker in my fridge that gets stuck all the time.

We absolutely love having the crunch ice available. We drink so much more water now because of it. Even for our family of 7, it makes the ice fast enough to keep up with our demand. The side tank allows us to limit how many times we have to refill the system.

The ice it makes is advertised. Soft enough to chew yet it won't melt fast. No complaints about the ice making capability. However the machine makes noises during the defrost. Within two weeks of owning the machine, the noise during defrost has gotten much worse. Going to return this machine.

Perfect modern design! We decided to upgrade from our old ice maker and could not be happier with the decision! The modern design goes perfectly with our newly upgraded kitchen. The ice bin capacity lasts when hosting guests, you can barely hear the unit when ice is being made and the cleaning/draining functionality is very user friendly!

It was packaged very securely and arrived in perfect condition. The set up was a breeze and took less than 30 minutes. Directions were straightforward, easy to understand, and follow. I purchased the optional side tank, but since now every beverage has to be made with “the good ice” it seems like I'm still adding water all the time. I wish they would have included, as an option to plumb in directly to the homes water line. Only regret is I wish I would have made the purchase sooner.

This machine is awesome. I love the “sonic” like nugget ice it makes. We especially like using the app to set it to turn off and on so we aways have ice. The water reservoir is a wonderful addition so we dont have to keep the bottom fill. The cleaning process is simple. This is a great investment. It is a little heavy so be careful moving it. Make sure you get the GE Opal 2.

"The good ice" all day, all the time. Our ice maker went out in our refrigerator and the model we have is notorious for faulty ice makers. Instead of having them out to replace every 3 months, we opted to bite the bullet for some good ice. Best appliance decision ever! If enough of these get purchased, Sonic could go out of business.

Love this ice maker with the additional water tank. It is super easy to use and cleaning it is a cinch compared to trying to clean an in fridge option. The only thing that took a bit of time to get used to is the defrost cycle sounds kind of loud at times with a squeaking noise.
