We needed a basic toaster, and this fills the bill. Works exactly as it should. The crumb tray gets a workout, because we have "everything" bagel fans in house. Very clean looking, almost like the old chrome-plated toasters, except this one fits better on a shelf.

The side clamp on the right side doesn't go to the correct position unless you push down hard and fast. This is true only for thinner sliced bread. The left side works fine. The toast comes out very nice once you find the right setting. By The way, I don't recommend anything to anyone.

The toaster looks great, and while lightweight it doesn't seem cheaply made. I made a batch of homemade egg mcmuffins today and using the bagel setting for my english muffins, they came out perfect! Strong chemical smell, but I read about that in reviews before I bought it and know that it will go away after a few uses.

we use the home toaster to simply toast bread. Works as we expected and we have perfect toast each time. the newness of the heating elements have worn off, and now we just smell the toast. No issues with the toaster. Lights up, knob is easy for arthritic hands, buttons for mode changes are also easy to push.

I purchased this toaster hoping that with the bagel setting that it would toast more on the "inside" of the cut bagel but even when both slices are put in according to the instructions and the Bagel button is pressed it still toasts too much on the outside of the bagel. When just toasting bread slices there is inconsistant elements lit causing some areas of the slices to be toasted while others are light.

I replace a GE Toaster that was not uniformly toasting. Wife was upset with it. Was going to buy on I researched on line, she said it felt cheap, read reviews for this toaster in magazines, said that's the one I would like. Got it, and it toasts the bread worse than the old one!

Looks and performs amazing. I never thought I would write a review about a toaster, but this little guy toasted my bread evenly on both sides to my liking. I’ve had other high end name brands toasters in the past and this one out performs them… highly recommend!

I enjoy sourdough toast, and the toaster I've had for years simply wouldn't accept the slice size that's available to me. This arrived to day, and after the initial 'Burn-in" the instructions said to do, I popped a slice of sourdough in and it came out absolutely perfect. Looking forward to the quality I've always gotten from GE products!!

Only toasts on highest settings. Adequate for our tastes, but it's a good thing we don't need it darker. My biggest concern is about half the elements don't heat up at all. If more of them go out it won't toast on ANY setting. GE used to have dependable products. Now you are just selling cheap outsourced trash! START MAKING PRODUCTS AGAIN IN THIS COUNTRY, EVEN IF YOU HAVE TO PAY YOUR WORKERS A LIVING WAGE!!!
